The excitement surrounding Prabhas' Kalki 2898-AD, formerly called Project K, isn't going to go down any time soon as the expectations for the highly-anticipated big-budget sci-fi Telugu film shot up after its first visuals debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 in July. The highly-anticipated big-budget science-fiction film being directed by Nag Ashwin under the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner and featuring music by Tamil composer Santhosh Narayanan created history by becoming the first ever Indian venture to debut at the popular global entertainment event when it took over Hall H, which saw Prabhas appear alongside his co-star and iconic Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, producers C. Aswani Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt, including actor Rana Daggubati, with legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan joining them via Zoom. 

With the Kalki 2898-AD glimpse still the talk of the town, Vyjayanthi Movies on Wednesday, August 2, released a new video of the proceedings at the SDCC 2023 and giving fans an additional insight into the film's journey from its inception as Project K. This latest video offers an up-close look at the celebrations amidst thousands of screaming fans at Hall H, who are seen welcoming the film's team before the first visuals debut to thunderous applause. The most memorable moment featured in the video is undoubtedly when producer Aswani Dutt says, "It took 50 years of my hard work to reach Amitji, Kamalji, and my friend Prabhas'', while gently patting the Salaar actor's back, with the audience and the vast media entourage cheering the team on with claps. 

The one-minute and thirty seconds video perfectly captures the rapturous elation for the journey from Project K to Kalki 2898-AD and is one that will no doubt hit you in the feels leaving you wanting for more of the glorious spectacle in full, which is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on January 12, 2024.

Prabhas’ next massive project that has created huge excitement is Project K. The makers of the film, Vyjayanthi Movies, took the film to the international arena with its debut at the San Diego Comic-Con, USA, earlier today. The makers had revealed an exciting new glimpse video at the event that also announced the movie title. The film is titled Kalki 2898 AD, which confirms that it is set in a dystopian future. The glimpse was also screened at the panel for Project K at SDCC amidst the stars, crew, and fans of the film. The project is mounted on a massive budget.

Kalki 2898 AD Glimpse begins with a shot of a group of soldiers in black masks and suit marching. The video then shows people in distraught and living in destitute and the popular Tamil actor Pasupathy holding a small kid at gunpoint. It then shows a ruler and his army, and one among them is the character played by actress Deepika Padukone. The lead hero of the film Prabhas is then introduced and the glimpse continues to show people revolting against the ruler, and war breaking out. In the middle shows of the words "When the world is taken over by darkness, A force will rise" is also shown. A person then asks, What is Project K? The title of the film is revealed as Kalki 2898 AD.

The exciting project has an ensemble cast that includes popular actor Prabhas, Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan, famous Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, Pasupathy and others. Kalki 2898 AD also has songs and a background score by Santhosh Narayanan. He has captured the attention of the audience with his music in the teaser. The film is also directed by director Nag Ashwin, who previously made many films in Telugu. The film looks like a dystopian fantasy thriller that people can expect to be up to Hollywood standards in VFX and making, as shown in the teaser. It is to release in January 2024.

A few days ago, the makers revealed the first look of actress Deepika Padukone from Project K, which went viral. The makers have revealed the first look of the characters in the film ahead of its debut at San Diego Comic-Con on June 20 (US time) and June 21 (IST). The first glimpse of the film will also be revealed at the event. The sci-fi film is the first from Indian cinema to host a panel at an international event. The makers of the film had also revealed that the actor duo Prabhas and Rana Daggubati landed in the USA yesterday. They also shared a picture of Kamal Haasan, who is said to be playing the role of an antagonist in the film, walking the streets of an American city in style.

Promotions have taken flight now with the release of Deepika Padukone's first look in Project K ahead of the highly-anticipated glimpse of Prabhas from the film at the San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC 2023). The big-budget sci-fi action thriller being directed by Mahanati fame Nag Ashwin and featuring music composed by Santhosh Narayanan includes a packed star cast featuring the likes of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, iconic Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, among others, and will have its much-awaited first official glimpse unveiled on July 20 in the USA and on July 21 in India. 

With Project K also announced to be the first Indian film to be debuting at the SDCC 2023, the excitement levels are at an unprecedented high and are set to get bigger after the big reveal later this week at the popular entertainment event in San Diego, California. Being made on a grand scale with a massive budget making it one of the most expensive films ever in Indian cinema history, Prabhas' Project K has the big advantage of drawing in a pan-Indian audience with the inclusion of Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Prestigious production banner Vyjayanthi Movies shared the news in a "Krazy" announcement on social media on Friday evening, July 14, by hinting at a showdown in the upcoming big-budget film, which is touted to be an action-packed sci-fi entertainer. (sic)," Vyjayanthi Movies wrote on Twitter, while also sharing a new poster showing two fists bumping almost akin to a big punch.

Vyjayanthi Movies announced a few days back that there's something special from Project K that will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con International and we can now assume that the glimpse will be screened at the popular entertainment event to be held in San Diego, California. It is to be noted that Project K is also the first-ever Indian film to debut at the SDCC 2023. National Award-winning director Nag Ashwin too on Saturday, July 15, shared a picture of an invitation with a flower atop it on his Instagram and posted a cryptic statement hinting at the film's title. He wrote, "This cover contains one sheet of paper with a single word printed on it. But the weight it carries.... sometimes feels like the whole world itself. #projectk 🙏 (sic)".

Project K is to be directed by Nag Ashwin who has previously made the national Award winning film Mahanati. The music composer of the film Santhosh Narayanan has shared the announcement with the caption “Proud Moment”.

Project K has an exciting cast that includes the Baahubali fame actor Prabhas, sensational actress Deepika Padukone, Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, and 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan. Ishari K Ganesh is one of the leading producers of the Tamil film industry who has made many hit films under his banner Vels Film International. The milestone 25th project of the Production house was launched today with a grand Pooja ceremony. The project titled Genie is mounted on a huge budget with Jayam Ravi playing lead. The producer addressed the press and media at the launch event and shared some interesting details about the film. There were speculations that Silambarasan TR had dropped a project signed with the producer and moved on to the next project under the production of Raaj Kamal Films International. The producer Ishari K Ganesh said "firstly, Raaj Kamal Films International and Vels Film International are the same and I said this in many stages, Kamal Haasan also said that in many stages".

The director Ishari K Ganesh then said there would be many problems between blood brothers and sisters too "but we are brothers from different mothers so there would be some problems, that we will solve after negotiations with each other, It's not a big issue." The producer then expressed his wishes for Silambarasan TR saying his best wishes are for the actor to become a big star. "Apart from Simbu, I have known his father TR sir for 32 years, and he is a close friend and we are all the same family" said the producer. He added they do not have any bad impression againt STR and added that he is very happy for his growth.

Some rumours were spreading that there is bad blood between the producer Ishari K. Ganesh and Silambarasan TR. that actor dismissed the film titles Corona Kumar and went on to do the film tentatively titles STR48 helmed by Design Periyasamy under Raaj Kamal Films International. Now, this statement from the producer has clarified such rumours.

The release date of big-budget sci-fi film Project K, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, was announced with a new poster. The film is set to hit the theatres on January 12, 2024. The new poster of the film was shared by the stars of the film and the production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, on social media on Mahashivratri with wishes for the festival. The film is set to be a mammoth-budget bilingual in Hindi and Telugu directed by Mahanati fame Nag Ashwin. The poster shows three characters in futuristic suits aiming their weapons at a massive fallen-hand on the sand on a dystopian backdrop.

The film, which was announced in February 2020, is said to be a dystopian sci-fi action thriller and is another pan-Indian film for Prabhas. Project K being bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, which was behind the recent blockbuster Sita Ramam, and is the first part of the futuristic series planned by the two-films old director Nag Ashwin. The production house ignited curiosity among fans last year by releasing posters on birthdays of Big B and Prabhas. The first look of Deepika Padukone from the film showed the full shot of the actress and reminded movie buffs of the Hollywood film Dune. 

In April 2022, it was confirmed that the film is being shot with cutting-edge Arri Alexa technology, making it the first Indian film with a digital motion picture camera. Dulquer Salmaan further sparked excitement among the fans and movie buffs saying he had an opportunity to peep into the sets of the film and assured it will change Indian cinema forever at an event. He also praised Prabhas who was present at the event saying only the Bahubali actor can give wings to dream so big. The film, with an estimated budget of ₹500 crores, has Mickey J Meyer as music composer and cinematography by Dani Sanchez Lopez.

Sita Ramam is an upcoming romantic drama film written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. It is produced by Aswini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth. The film has music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, cinematography by P. S. Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film has been scheduled to release theatrically on 5 August 2022.

Recently, a pre-release event for Sita Ramam was held which was also attended by Baahubali hunk Prabhas. When Dulquer Salmaan finally took the stage to talk about the film, he addressed Prabhas' presence. He also went on to talk about his upcoming film Project K which he had the opportunity to take a glimpse of.

He says, "I had the great fortune of peeping into the set and I guarantee you it is going to change Indian cinema forever. I do not think anybody is thinking the way Nag is and I think only Prabhas Garu can give directors like Nag the wings to dream so big. So, I cannot wait. I am sure none of you can either. It is going to be spectacular". Listening to Dulquer spew out such kind words, Prabhas claps with great gratitude for him as a gesture of thanks.
