'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra is out in theatres and took a sensational opening everywhere with the actor once again being lauded for his exceptional performance once again. The National Award-winning actor has collaborated with director Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame in the action thriller, which has been produced under Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios banner and features music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman. Releasing with a duration of three hours and three minutes, the makers have since then trimmed Cobra by 20 minutes in theatres and have now also released a sneak peek from the film featuring Vikram and former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is playing an Interpol officer.

The Cobra sneak peek starts off with Vikram arriving at the Hong Kong airport sporting the look of an elderly Chinese man and interacting with the immigration staff. Vikram, who is playing a genius mathematician in the film, is seen next in the visuals hard at work using a handheld camera as a device to execute his master plan, while Irfan Pathan is  at the Interpol office contemplating his next move. The Cobra sneak peek predominantly shows Vikram and Irfan in a cat-and-mouse game, with the former on a mission and the latter going after him. 

Vikram has once again gone full out in his performance and the steps to achieve the various looks for his roles in Cobra and the result has been largely positive as fans once again lapped up his action-packed performance. He is joined by Irfan Pathan in a crucial role, while KGF heroine Srinidhi Shetty is playing the heroine, followed by Roshan Mathew as the antagonist, while the supporting cast features the likes of K. S. Ravikumar, Mirnalini Ravi, Miya George, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Anandaraj, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, among others.

Cobra is Chiyaan Vikram’s next which is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame. Produced by Lalit Kumar’s 7 Screen Studios, Cobra will feature Chiyaan Vikram in multiple avatars and it is indeed going to be a treat for the fans. This film is expected to showcase a new dimension of Vikram and the fans have pinned high hopes on this film. Interestingly, Cobra features former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan in an important role and it marks his acting debut. According to reports, Irfan plays a role with negative shades and it is going to be interesting to see the actor inside him for the first time.

Irfan Pathan celebrates his birthday today (October 27) and marking the special occasion, the makers have released his character look poster from Cobra. The poster looks neat and gives us a glimpse of Irfan’s look and character. Irfan plays the role of a French Interpol Officer and his character is called Aslan Yilmaz. He looks super classy and stylish and the grey shaded poster is suggestive of his character in the film. Sharing the poster, director Ajay Gnanamuthu wrote, “Wish you many more happy returns of the day dear @IrfanPathan sir Super happy to have met and worked with such a warm and a caring person like you.. Cobra features KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. The supporting cast includes Miya George, Roshan Matthew, Anandaraj, KS Ravikumar, Mirnalini Ravi, and others. The film has music scored by the legendary AR Rahman who has already delivered a chartbuster single in the form of 'Thumbi Thullal'. This romantic celebration number is a huge hit among the fans and has found a place in the playlists of music lovers. Rahman's music is going to play a crucial role in the film. On the technical side, Cobra has cinematography by debutant Harish Kannan, editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan and stunt choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan.

The film's post production (dubbing) works began last night in Chennai for the portions that have been shot so far. A few more scenes are left to be filmed and it would be completed very soon. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu made a promising debut with the horror thriller, Demonte Colony that starred Arulnithi in the lead role. Post the success of the film, he worked with Nayanthara, Anurag Kashyap and Atharvaa in the action drama, Imaikkaa Nodigal which was a box office hit. The young and talented filmmaker is now in the middle of making his next film, Cobra which stars Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. Ajay Gnanamuthu is celebrating his birthday today (September 15) and wishes have been pouring in from various quarters. The fans are wishing Ajay for his birthday and are also requesting him to share some updates regarding the film. However, he has maintained silence regarding the update.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is making his acting debut with Cobra and he is said to play the role of the antagonist. In this light hearted funny video, we see Irfan Pathan complaining about Ajay Gnanamuthu who asks him to perform a 4 line dialogue in 1 minute.

Talking about the film, Chiyaan Vikram will be seen in different makeovers and we got a glimpse of it through the first look poster. Vikram is known to be a strong performer and this film seems to give him the right kind of dose to exhibit his acting prowess. KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty plays the female lead, while the film’s star cast also includes KS Ravikumar, Anandaraj, Miya George, Mirnalini Ravi, Roshan Mathew, and others. The film has music composed by AR Rahman and he delivered a beautiful single song recently. Titled ‘Thumbi Thullal’, this romantic celebration number turned out to be a musical feast for the fans and it became a chartbuster hit.
