One of the most popular actresses in south India, Trisha has established herself to be a talent powerhouse by delivering commendable performances in some of the biggest films alongside superstars for well over two decades now. After a critically-acclaimed outing in last year’s smash hit romantic drama, 96, opposite Vijay Sethupathi and a vital supporting role in ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s blockbuster, Petta, Trisha already has a line of films in hand waiting to be released and in development among which some of them are Raangi, Garjanai, Sathuranga Vettai 2, 1818, Paramapadham Vilayattu, Kuttrapayirchi and a project with Simran, which reportedly has been titled as Sugar. With so many films lined up ahead, the much-awaited trailer for the long-delayed Garjanai has now been released. 

Apart from Trisha, the film being distributed by SDC Picturez also features Amit Bhargav, Vamsikrishna, Vadivukarasi among others in supporting roles and has been helmed by director Sundar Balu under the Century International Films banner with music by Amrish. Ever since it was revealed that Trisha would be playing a role with plenty of action in Garjanai, there has been considerable excitement for the film and can be evident with the trailer released now.

The waiting has paid off and now Trisha has her own movie Garjanai. The star plays the lead character in this movie and close in the lines of actress Vijayashanthi, she did her own stunt scenes and is a pivotal part of the script which pushes the need for a hero to the sidelines.

Reportedly, Trisha has done her very own stunt moves in the film without using a dupe.

Garjanai is directed by Sundar Balu and produced by Century International Films. The movie wishes a happy Tamil New Year for fans and launched this new poster for everyone to view.

Actress Trisha who is presently busy with the shooting of Garjanai has performed several daring stunt sequences in the movie. Directed by Sundar Balu, Garjanai is said to be an adaptation of Hindi film NH 10, acted and produced by Anushka Sharma. However, the makers have announced that the film is not a frame by frame remake. Trisha’s introduction scene is a fight sequence for which she had to undergo a special training from stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar to get the act right.
