Leading Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan has joined the cast of Vishwambhara and is her big-screen reunion with 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi after they last shared screen space in Stalin (2006). A video released by the makers on Monday, February 5, shows her being welcomed by the Telugu superstar on the sets with a bouquet after which she is seen posing for the camera with the team of the upcoming film. The first schedule of Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara kicked off recently and is progressing at a steady pace, with Trisha's addition to the star cast adding more strength. The actress has been on a roll of late after her powerful performances as Kundavi in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus money-spinners Ponniyin Selvan: 1 (2022) and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), and Sathya in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster Leo (2023). Vishwambhara is one of the biggies Trisha is currently a part of after Ajith Kumar's VidaaMuyarchi and 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Thug Life in Tamil, and Mohanlal's Ram and Tovino Thomas' Identity in Malayalam. 

Fans will be looking to witness Trisha charm Telugu audiences once again and this time in Vishwambhara after her last outing in the language was Nayaki (2016), which also came out in Tamil under the title Nayagi. Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara being directed by Mallidi Vassishta of Bimbisara (2022) fame is touted to be a socio-fantasy film and will open in cinemas worldwide on January 10, 2025, ahead of Sankranti. There are several big names in the technical team associated with the film among whom include cinematographer Chota K. Naidu and editors Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy, with Academy Award winner M. M. Keeravani composing the songs and the background score; making it his fourth-time collaboration with Chiranjeevi. 

Celebrity couple Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni Konidela welcomed their first child on June 20. Any news about the family of three has made headlines since then. Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has now shared the name of his grand daughter in a tweet and stated that Klin Kaara Konidela, he has also explained the name saying it represents "an embodiment of Nature, encapsulating the supreme power of divine mother ‘Shakthi' and has a powerful ring and vibration." He also shared pictures of the baby with the grand parents from the ceremony.

Upasana shared a glimpse of the preparation that is happening for the naming ceremony of the daughter on her Instagram stories. The video shows decorations and other preparations that happened ahead of the naming ceremony of the baby today in Hyderabad. Sharing the short video, she wrote “BTS our darling daughters naming ceremony”. This video has become viral just as any new information about the family of three.

On June 20, The news about the birth of the baby girl for RRR star Ram Charan and Upasana became viral as the private hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad also shared an official statement. The couple then made their first public appearance with the new family members amidst press and media persons. Speaking to media while moving home from the hospital, the Telugu superstar said that they have not finalised the name yet and that as per tradition they will finalise the name on the 21st day. From the video, it looks like the family decided to hold the naming ceremony before the 21 days mark. The couple got married on June 14, 2012, and they announced their pregnancy on December 2022.

On the work front too the actor Ram Charan has been having a memorable year as his recent film RRR won the prestigious Oscar Award for the song Naatu Naatu. It was announced yesterday that the actor has also been invited to join the academy as a member of the actors branch along with NT Rama Rao Jr. He is also starring in the film Game Changer directed by Blockbuster filmmaker Shankar and the story for the film is written by Karthik Subbaraj.

'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar is gearing up for a massive release this year and the first big action-packed visuals from the film are now out. A remake of the 2015 Tamil blockbuster, Vedalam, which had Ajith Kumar in the lead role, the upcoming Telugu film's teaser released on Saturday gave a glimpse of the colorful action that awaits fans in theatres starting August 11. The Bholaa Shankar teaser starts off by introducing Chiranjeevi in his mass avatar and speaking punch dialogues that go well in hand with his mass image and will no doubt appeal to his massive fan following. 

The Bholaa Shankar teaser also includes National Award-winning Keerthy Suresh playing Chiranjeevi's young sister, while Tamannaah Bhatia is appearing as his love interest. The glimpse released also shows the huge scale in production by Ramabrahmam Sunkara's AK Entertainments banner, with the film also featuring an ensemble supporting cast that includes Sushanth, Raghu Babu, Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Tulasi, Sri Mukhi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Getup Srinu, Rashmi Gautam and Uttej in key roles. While Chiranjeevi in Bholaa Shankar is playing the role of Ajith Kumar from Vedalam, Keerthy will be seen in the character portrayed by Lakshmi Menon, with Tamannaah taking on Shruti Haasan's role. 

Bholaa Shankar is Chiranjeevi's second big release of 2023 after he started the year on a high note with the staggering success of Waltair Veerayya, which was released on the festive occasion of Sankranthi. The upcoming film is the iconic Telugu actor's next big remake after his Godfather, which was based on Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's 2019 blockbuster, Lucifer. All sights will now be on how Bholaa Shankar featuring music by Mahati Swara Sagar fares in comparison to Vedalam and there are big expectations for the film to be a cracker of an entertainer along the lines of the Tamil version.

'Megastar' Chiranjeevi announced on Wednesday that he has tested positive for Covid-19. The Telugu superstar took to social media to share the news of his diagnosis and stated that he is currently quarantined at his home, while adding that the coronavirus symptoms he is experiencing are mild. Chiranjeevi wrote, "Dear All, Despite all precautions, I have tested Covid 19 Positive with mild symptoms last night and am quarantining at home. I request all who came in contact with me over the last few days to get tested too. Can’t wait to see you all back soon!"

Chiranjeevi had back in November 2020 announced that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. However, three days after releasing the statement, he issued a clarification that the test results had shown him to be Covid positive due to a faulty testing kit. The actor also shared the test report on his social media pages at the time. 

On the work front, Chiranjeevi has several films in various stages of development and is currently awaiting the release of his Telugu action social drama film Acharya, which will open in theatres on April 1. According to reports, the superstar will be seen playing the role of a Naxalite-turned-social reformer, who goes up in arms against the Endowments Department over the embezzlement of temple funds and donations. Being produced by Ram Charan under the Konidela Pro Company banner, the actor shares screen space with Chiranjeevi once again marking their reunion on the big screen after 2015's Bruce Lee: The Fighter, which saw the latter in a cameo appearance. Acharya also has Chiranjeevi paired opposite Kajal Aggarwal, while Ram Charan will be seen romancing Pooja Hegde. 

Chiranjeevi is currently attached to a project titled Godfather being directed by Mohan Raja and is an official remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role under Prithviraj Sukumaran's direction. The Telugu superstar also recently announced the remake of Tamil film Vedalam, which has been titled Bhola Shankar, and will see Keerthy Suresh playing the role of his sister. Chiranjeevi had also announced the tentatively titled Chiru 154, which will be directed by Bobby and is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar's Mythri Movie Makers banner.

Acharya is an upcoming Telugu film that has Megastar Chiranjeevi playing the lead role, under the direction of blockbuster filmmaker Koratala Siva. The film is currently in the post-production stages, gearing up for its grand theatrical release on February 4, 2022. The film features Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, while Chiranjeevi's son and star actor Ram Charan would be seen playing a pivotal role. Pooja Hegde plays Ram Charan's pair in this film. Earlier today (January 3), the makers unveiled a new song from the film and this song is called 'Saana Kastam'. The lyric video of the song has been released and it has grabbed the attention of the fans.

'Saana Kastam' is an item song and it features the hot and sensational Regina Cassandra shaking legs along with Chiranjeevi and the duo's energetic dance moves are going to be one of the major highlights of the video. Regina looks sizzling hot and it looks like she is all set to set the screens on fire with her dance moves and screen presence. Samantha garnered everyone's attention with her appearance in the viral hit, 'Oo Antava.. Oo Oo Antava' song from Allu Arjun's Pushpa and it looks like Regina Cassandra will be the next actress to score big. Chiranjeevi is full of energy and his delightful dance moves keep us glued to our screens.

'Saana Kastam' song is composed by Mani Sharma and has lyrics penned by Bhaskarbhatla, with vocals lent by Revanth and Geetha Madhuri. Produced by Konidela Production Company in association with Matinee Entertainments, this film has cinematography handled by S Thirunavukkarasu and editing by Navin Nooli. Prem Rakshit has choreographed the dance movies for the songs in the film which has art direction by Suresh Selvarajan. Megastar Chiranjeevi will be teaming up with director Venky Kudumula for a new film and the official announcement regarding the project was made yesterday (December 15). For the unversed, director Venky Kudumula is known for directing movies like Chalo and Bheeshma (Nithiin - Rashmika starrer) and this Chiranjeevi starrer will be his third directorial. It is indeed interesting to see Chiranjeevi teaming up with young talent and it looks like an exciting project is on cards. This new film will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment, the producer of Rajamouli's epic action entertainer RRR.

Chiranjeevi's next release will be Acharya which is scheduled to hit the screens on February 4, 2022. The film is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Koratala Siva and features Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Apart from Acharya, Chiranjeevi has three other films in his pipeline - Godfather (Remake of Lucifer), Bholaa Shankar (Remake of Vedalam), and an untitled film with director KS Ravindra. With four films already there in the pipeline, Chiranjeevi has now signed one more film and it looks like the legendary actor is on a signing spree.

Actress Meghana Raj gave birth to her baby son on October 22, 2020, and there has been no look back since then. She got married to Kannada star actor Chiranjeevi Sarja after a 10 year relationship in 2018. The duo led a happy life, but, in an unfortunate turn of events, Chiranjeevi Sarja died on June 7, 2020, due to a massive heart attack. Chiranjeevi's death took the entire nation by shock as he was just 39 years old when he breathed his last. Meghana Raj was pregnant during Chiranjeevi's demise and the baby was born 4 months after his death.

Meghana addressed him as Jr C, in fond remembrance of her late husband. Close to a year after his birth, Jr C is now named and Meghana took to her official Instagram page to reveal the same. Meghana has named her son Raayan Raj Sarja. She made the announcement through a video that has now gone viral among the fans. The video compiles shots from Meghana Raj's wedding with Chiranjeevi and of course, the cute visuals of Raayan. The video looks heartwarming and is sure to make your day. Director Mohan Raja, who is known for directing films like M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Santhosh Subramaniam, Velayudham, Thani Oruvan, and Velaikkaran, has begun his next film in style. As already announced, Mohan Raja's next directorial venture will be a Telugu film and it will star Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. This is the first time Mohan Raja is working with a legendary star hero like Chiranjeevi and the fans have pinned high hopes on the project. This film which is tentatively called Chiru 153 is the official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, Lucifer, which featured Mohanlal in the lead role. Lucifer was directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. It is going to be interesting to see what changes have been made in the Telugu remake.

Chiru 153 is produced by Konidela Pro Company, in association with Super Good Films. Chiru 153 has got a strong technical team - Thaman for music, Nirav Shah for cinematography, Suresh Selvarajan for art direction, and Silva for stunt choreography. Mohan Raja took to his official Twitter page to share the news about the commencement of the shoot and he seems to be all excited about it. The shooting begins from today (August 13) and the team is expected to shoot some of the important sequences featuring Chiranjeevi in this first schedule.

A doyen in Telugu cinema, 'Mega Star' Chiranjeevi has been enthralling fans for more than four decades and garnered a massive fan following across the country since then. An action superstar, Chiru, as he is fondly called by his fans world over, is all set to be seen next in the highly-anticipated action drama film, Acharya, which is gearing for a summer release this year. Chiranjeevi's 152nd venture, Acharya is being directed by Koratala Siva and is jointly produced by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy under their Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners. 

Acharya sparked instant interest, with the makers not keeping Chiranjeevi's fans waiting for long for the first visuals and released an action-packed teaser on Friday that shows the 'Mega Star' in prime form. The Acharya teaser is a one-man show from start to finish and shows Chiru taking on the bad guys, with breathtaking action, which will no doubt be a big treat  for his fans when the film hits screens. The Acharya teaser shows Chiranjeevi to be a saviour of the people of a region, with the visuals showing the plot predominantly set in the forest region. 

Among the special aspects in Acharya, the action film will also see Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan making an appearance as well. It will be the second time both the dad-son duo will be sharing screen space after Chiranjeevi made a cameo appearance in Ram Charan’s Magadheera in 2009. Speaking about his working experience with his father, Ram Charan sometime back said, "It will be an absolute honour for me to be able to share the same frame as my father. Also, it is not a cameo but a full-fledged role for me. I want to thank director Koratala Siva for making this happen." Likewise, director Koratala Siva too spoke about the two coming together for the film and said, "I couldn’t have imagined anyone else playing Sidha (played by Ram Charan) in Acharya. This is perfect casting for the role and the project." 

Apart from Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, Acharya's cast also includes Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead and will be her second outing opposite the 'Mega Star' after their blockbuster Khaidi No. 150 in 2017. Acharya also includes a stellar technical team on board among whom are Mani Sharma for the music, cinematography being handled out by Tirru and Navin Nooli serving as the editor. The start to the week couldn't have taken a more bad turn as 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The veteran Telugu superstar dropped the news in an official statement to his fans and followers on his Twitter page, which has come as a major shock to many in film industries across the country. Chiranjeevi, who was set to resume the shooting for his upcoming film Acharya from today, said in his statement, "Took a test for COVID before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic & quarantining myself at home." 

Urging those who met him over the past few days, Chiranjeevi's statement also read, "Request all those who met me in the last 5 few days to also undergo covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon." A doyen in Telugu cinema, his latest statement has come as a huge shock for his fans, who have been enthralled by his on-screen performances for more than four decades. Felicitated with the Padma Bhushan in 2006 by the Government of India, the iconic Telugu superstar has been receiving wishes for a speedy recovery. The news of Chiranjeevi testing COVID-19 positive will come as a huge blow for his fans, who had been expecting him to resume filming for his highly-anticipated next titled Acharya.
