Shanthnu's clarification on Master controversy | Vijay | Anirudh | Vijay Sethupathi
By Galatta | 07:37 PM
Shanthnu Bhagyaraj made his acting debut as a child artist with his father's film Vettiya Madichu Kattu which released in 1998, he then went on to work as an assistant director to his father before making his debut as a lead actor in the romantic comedy Sakkarakatti (2008). The film bombed at the box office despite having a good opening. Shanthnu kept giving his 100% percent for all the films that he signed but unfortunately, he was not able to taste success. Now after all these years, the tide has started to shift towards Shanthnu’s side. He has four films in his kitty right now which includes a big-budget multi-starrer Master which also features the likes of Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.
The Sakkarakatti actor plays a pivotal role in Master and a leading media house has now reported that without Shanthnu’s character, Master’s film will not be complete. The channel claimed that Shanthnu himself had told this to them. However, Shanthnu has now made an important clarification regarding this on his Twitter space tagging the news portal. He tweeted saying - “yen ya ipdi ellam kelappureenga ? Na ipdi sollave Illa ! Na sivaney nu dhan iruken title eh maathunga pa.”

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar released earlier this year during the festive season of Pongal. Rajinikanth’s charismatic screen presence and charming energy made the fans love the film, while the father - daughter sentiment struck a chord with the family audiences. Breaking: Vijay's Master track-list leaked? | Anirudh | Vijay Sethupathi
By Galatta | 12:38 PM
The third look poster of Vijay’s Master which was released yesterday evening has been the talk of the town ever since. It showed Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi facing each other in anger, a pretty familiar face off kind of a poster but because the presentation was different and unique, the photo was welcomed with open arms and the poster has only increased the buzz of the film. Master is planned for an April 9th release as a pre-Tamil New Year treat for fans. Anirudh is scoring music for a Vijay film after Kaththi and expectations for the songs are building day by day as the release date is nearing.
Meanwhile, a track-list photo has been circulating on social media, people claim that it is an official song list of Vijay’s Master. When we checked with our sources close to the Master team, they denied the news saying it is a fake track-list photo. The forged song list featured singers like SP Balasubramaniyam, Sid Sriram, Shreya Ghoshal, Anthony Daasan, Nakash Aziz and Anirudh. It is been quite a while since we saw SPB sing for a Thalapathy film and we hope it happens sometime in the near future. A legend singing for the leading hero will surely lift up the mood of a song. More details regarding Master album will be out very soon. Stay tuned!

The highly anticipated mega biggie, Darbar, starring Superstar Rajinikanth has hit the screens today amidst sky rocketing expectations from the fans and general audience. Directed by A.R.Murugadoss and produced by Lyca, the film features Rajinikanth as a cop after 25 years and it was one of the interesting aspects to watch out for. The film has opened to fairly positive reviews from Thalaivar fans and mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. Music director Anirudh Ravichander saw the FDFS (First Day First Show) of Darbar at Rohini Silver Screens this morning along with the fans.
The entire family of Superstar Rajinikanth including Latha Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Dhanush, Soundarya Rajinikanth, Ravichander, and others were also seen along with Anirudh at this celebratory first show. Later, Anirudh visited Kasi Theatre where Galatta Media got in touch with himand asked him to share a few words on Darbar and the film’s response. He said, “It is indeed a special feeling and a very important day in my life. My heartiest thanks to Thalaivar and Murugadoss sir.
Composing music for a Superstar film is always special and I completely enjoyed it. Rajinikanth - Murugadoss was a combo that was always expected by the audience and when it is happening for real, it feels good. ” While asked about his most favourite goosebump scene in the film, he said, “For me, it was the Kannula Thimiru sequence since it had the vintage Thalaivar moments, both visually and musically.” Anirudh sounded confident and quite positive about the response of Darbar from the fans. Yogi B's 'Thani Vazhi' music video from Rajinikanth's Darbar | Anirudh | AR Murugadoss
By Vivek Raj | Galatta | 07:24 PM
‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s will be kicking off 2020 on a massive bang with the highly anticipated film, Darbar, hitting screens on January 9. Directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Lyca Productions banner, the mass cop action entertainer featuring chart-buster songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander is coming out as a Pongal treat for fans. Promotions for Darbar by Lyca Productions are being carried out an extensive pace with several promos every other day including new posters to keep up the hype. That said, the makers, who had last week released a promo for the 'Thani Vazhi' song picturized on singer and rap artist Yogi B, have now released the full music video, in light of the film's release in three days time.
'Thani Vazhi' has been sung by Yogi B, Anirudh Ravichander and Shakthisree Gopalan with the song believed to be an additional major highlight in the film, which has Rajinikanth playing the role of Mumbai's Commissioner of Police, Aaditya Arunasalam and, incidentally marks the first occasion in 28 years where he is seen wearing the khakhi uniform after the 1992 film, Pandiyan. Another special reason fans will want to catch Darbar in theatres is the chemistry between Rajinikanth and Nayanthara; both of whom are in a single film for the fourth time after their previous collaborations namely Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Kuselan. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is playing the role of the antagonist in Darbar while Nivetha Thomas has been cast as Rajinikanth’s daughter, Prateik Babbar in a major supporting role and Yogi Babu handling the comedy track.

Darbar: Anirudh questioned by Cine Musicians Union for not using local talent!
By MKV | Galatta | 04:48 PM
The Tamil Cinema industry has a number of Unions and Associations to safeguard the rights of the members of various technical departmenst of the industry. The Cine Musicians Union, which is currently being headed by composer Dhina, had arranged for a press meet, yesterday. At this media interaction, Dhina has questioned Anirudh over the usage of foreign talent and why he has completely ignored the local musicians and their talent. Dhina has revealed that only four or five local musicians have been used, when actually around 400-500 of them could have been used. At the press meet, Dhina mentioned that this isn't the first time that Anirudh is doing this mistake.
He mentioned that a movie with Superstar Rajinikanth in it would be made on such a scale that atleast 500-1000 people from all departments would get to work in it. Dhina stated that of the 23 Unions in the industry, huge number of members from 22 departments had been used with only the Cine Musicians Union missing out on getting such an opportunity. He stated that bills had been filed only for Rs. 3000/-, of which Rs. 1000/- was for Anirudh and Rs. 800/- was for his assistant, alleging that only 4 or 5 local musicians were involved in the recording for Darbar. Dhina questioned Anirudh as to why he insisted on getting foreign technicians to work on this project when it could have been sourced from amongst the local talent itself. He also alleged that he had spoken to Anirudh after his last project itself and that Anirudh had promised to use local musicians in Darbar.
Now that Anirudh hasn't used the local musicians for Darbar also, the Union has brought this matter to the Press and also submitted a petition to FEFSI, to look into this matter. Dhina mentioned that the Union has decided that all music directors should use local talent and obtain permission if they are using foreign musicians. Dhina also mentioned that in the next 15 days, a meeting of all the Tamil Cine Musicians Union members and all music directors would be called for and that it would be stringently imposed that local talent should not be ignored and that the Union rules should be strictly followed.
