Leading Tamil production banner Vels Film International announced a number of ventures in their lineup in 2019 and one notable project among them was Kutty Story, an anthology of love stories. Tamil filmmakers have been doing anthologies more of late, which have been yielding them successful results as fans have taken a liking to their efforts for the OTT medium. In comparison to a majority of the anthologies that have been coming out, Vels Film International's Kutty Story has been announced for a theatrical release and will be coming out on the big screen as a Valentine's Day weekend treat on February 12. 

The Kutty Story anthology film is also a collection of four short stories in line with the recently-released Paava Kadhaigal, which received stunning feedback on Netflix. The shooting for Kutty Story took place during the lockdown period last year, with leading Tamil filmmakers Gautham Vasudev Menon, Venkat Prabhu, A.L. Vijay, and Nalan Kumarasamy coming on board to direct the four short stories in the anthology. All four directors have their own trademark in romance as they have done films in the genre in the past and their take in Kutty Story is now most awaited. 

Kutty Story's star cast includes 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Aruvi heroine Aditi Balan romancing in the Nalan Kumarasamy-directed segment, with Puppy and Joshua fame Varun and Bigg Boss 3 sensation Sakshi Agarwal playing the leads in Venkat Prabhu's directorial. Likewise, Velaiyilla Pattathari fame Amitash Pradhan and ENPT actress Megha Akash have been paired in A. L. Vijay's segment, with Gautham Menon himself directing and acting in his portion opposite Amala Paul. Popular Tamil actors Robo Shankar, Vinod Kishan, Sangeetha Krish, Ayra, Luthfudeen among others have also been cast in Kutty Story and will be appearing in the respective segments. 

As promotions for Kutty Story are underway, the film's much-awaited trailer has now been released and gives us the first glimpse of the four short stories, which primarily delve on human relationships and romance between the couples in the anthology. Kutty Story includes a stellar technical team contributing their skills to each of the segments among whom are Premgi Amaren, singer Karthik, Madhu. R and Edwin Louis Viswanath for the music, Manoj Pramahamsa, Arvind Krishna, Sakthi Saravanan and N Shanmuga Sundaram for the cinematography and Anthony, Praveen KL and A Sreekar Prasad on the editing front.

One of the most controversial but quite a successful movie of 2019 was Aadai, which had Amala Paul in the lead. This thriller movie, directed by Rathna Kumar, was produced by Viji Subramaniam for SK Studios and created quite a stir, right from the time the movie's first look was revealed. As is commonly known, Aadai stirred up a lot of controversy for having Amala Paul in a number of nude sequences. However, all these sequences were very aesthetically shot and did not have any vulgarity in them. Vijay Karthik Kannan's cinematography and Amala Paul's bold acting were very highly appreciated. Following the success of Aadai, there have been reports of the movie being remade, in a number of languages. Some recent rumours suggested that Kangna Ranaut would be reprising Amala Paul's role in the Hindi remake of Aadai. The Hindi remake rights of Aadai are with actor Arun Pandian’s A&P Groups who had earlier issued a strong statement clarifying that they hold the remake rights of Aadai for all the languages and that they have already collaborated with a leading production house in Mumbai for the Hindi remake. In their statement, they had also clarified that Kangna Ranaut was not approached for the lead role in the Hindi remake. 
 
Now the latest report from B-Town stats that actress Shraddha Kapoor has apparently agreed to feature in the remake of Aadai. She has allegedly given her consent to feature in this bold role that Amala Paul played in Tamil. The script has a lot of scope to reach even the international audiences, it would be made on a grand scale with high production values. It also stated that the cast and crew of the Hindi remake would be announced once they are all finalised. Following a series of poorly received films, her highest-grossing releases came with the comedy horror Stree, the action thriller Saaho, and the comedy-drama Chhichhore. So, her recent films have given her a good fortune and we hope she can keep the successful run going with the remake of Aadai. Let us wait for the official confirmation from the makers of Aadai.

Director Sachy of Ayyappanum Koshiyum fame died last night (June 18) due to cardiac arrest and the news has taken the entire Malayalam film industry by deep shock. The highly acclaimed writer turned director was 48 years old when he breathed his last. Apart from directing Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Anarkali (2015), Sachy has also penned the story for notable biggies like Run Baby Run, Ramaleela, Driving Licence, etc. His death is indeed an irreplaceable loss for the industry and actors have been mourning his demise on social media.

Having said that, actress Amala Paul posted an emotional message about Sachy on her Instagram page. The Aadai actress thanked Sachy for creating the character Renuka in Run Baby Run, the female lead character played by her. Amala Paul wrote, “A shocker after a shocker! Actress Amala Paul enjoys massive popularity among fans in South India and was seen in the smash hit, Aadai, released last year. Post the success of Aadai, the top actress will next be seen in director KR Vinoth's Adho Andha Paravai Pola, which has been produced by Century International Films and includes Ashish Vidyarthi, Samir Kochar among others in supporting roles with music by Jakes Bejoy.

With the film given a 'U' certificate by the Censor Board, the makers have now released an action-packed trailer for Adho Andha Paravai Pola, which has Amala Paul flexing her muscles in what seems to primarily be a survival of the fittest story. Being presented by SDC Picturez, there are quite a lot of expectations surrounding the film considering it comes right after Aadai's success, which did plenty to once again bring to us the performer Amala Paul we have come to know over the years.

We see Amala Paul alongside Ashish Vidyarthi in a jungle backdrop with a bunch of forest brigands out to hunt them and the actress is shown getting into the heat of action confronting the thugs and goons, which is a drastic step away from her previous role in Aadai. Adho Andha Paravai Pola became a much awaited film among the actress’ fans after the first look poster was released and showed the star riding a motorbike teasing that there would be plenty of action in this upcoming female-centric venture.

Adho Andha Paravai Pola is an upcoming action thriller film directed by debutant Vinoth KR. The film stars Amala Paul, Ashish Vidyarthi and Samir Kochhar. Amala Paul is fresh from the much talked about film Aadai. Her fans are expecting her to feature in bold roles similar to that. WIll Adho Andha Paravai Pola satisfy her fans wish is something that we will have to wait and see.  
 
Jakes Bejoy has composed the tunes for this film, while it is edited by John Abraham JR. The title of the movie is taken from a song from MGR’s cult classic project Aayirathil Oruvan. The film was announced in March 2017 with Amala Paul in the lead role. The title and the first look of the film was revealed on the International Women's Day of 2018 by Kajal Agarwal. During filming in August 2018, Amala Paul suffered a serious ligament tear while performing an action sequence and resumed shooting after recovery.

It is already known that Amala Paul ad Fahad Faasil were in trouble for alleged tax evasion on the luxury cars they had registered in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The allegation was that the two actos hadbought luxury cars and to evade a high amount of tax registered it in Pondicherry. Now, reports state that the Crime Branch has closed the cases for these allegations against the actors. A closure report was submitted by the Crime Branch to the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court recently, according to reports.

Reports state that according to the Crime branch Officers, both actors had purchased their luxury cars from outside the state and thus there were no losses due to this. Amala Paul had purchased her luxury vehicle from Bengaluru, it was found that Fahadh Faasil had purchased his cars from Bengaluru and Delhi. Fahadh even changed his registration to Kerala and paid the correct amount of tax. In Amala’s case, the cost of her car is said to be around 1.25 crores. This means she would have to pay a huge sum of money instead of the menial tax she paid.

While Amala and Fahash can heave a sigh of relief, actor-turned politician Suresh Gopi was also caught for the same issue, His case is still on and is being investigated.

After a lot of struggles, Amala Paul’s controversial film Aadai hit the screens day before yesterday on the 19th of July. The early shows were cancelled due to some financial issues but all the problems were sorted out be the latter half of the day and eventually the Aadai had screening from the eve of July 19th. Aadai is new-age thriller directed by Rathna Kumar and produced by Viji Subramaniyan under the production banner V Studios. The film's soundtrack is composed by Pradeep Kumar alongside the Oorka band (making their debut in film music direction). The film has opened up to some tremendous reception from the critics as well as from film fans. Now the makers have released a 3-minute scene from the film. Do check it out:

An important message told through Amala Paul's commendable effort and technical brilliance!

If a first look poster garnered so much attention in the recent times, it should definitely be Aadai. This Amala Paul starrer is highly anticipated, especially among the youngsters. Among huge buzz and criticism, Aadai has now released and here is our review.

Kaamini (Amala Paul) is a feminist and a girl who goes by her heart. She is someone who would go to any extent to win on a bet. By doing this, she indirectly hurts people and their emotions. She and her gang of friends decide to party one night and they get high with drinks and drugs. The next day morning, Kaamini is naked and she is shocked to see herself in that state. What happened that night and how did she come out of that state, forms the rest of the plot.

Amala Paul is a true star who's broken the barriers with this film. She has gone a step higher to deliver the intensity, the character Kaamini owns. Kudos to Amala Paul for an impactful performance as she takes the film forward with complete conviction. Special applauds for her mental strength to appear naked on screen. If not for her, this film wouldn't have happened and Tamil cinema audience would have missed a unique experience. Vivek Prasanna, Ramya VJ, and others do well with their limited screen presence. The first half is quite engagingly packed and you have a lot of fresh and funny moments. The establishment of characters take place in the first half, while the second half takes you into the core premise and the conflict.

Rathna Kumar has a noble message to tell and it is conveyed well to an extent. First things first, the comedy scenes have a sense of freshness. The climax revelation is noteworthy and it is something that needs to be told. The solid climax sequence is a major asset for the film. The feminism angle travels as an undercurrent line throughout the film.

There are a lot of nail biting sequences which make you hooked to your seat, and one such example would be the dog chase sequence. The film is strictly for youngsters and it is doubtful if other age groups will enjoy the film. The second half is too long and it becomes testing after a certain point of time. Ofcourse, the team has taken a few cinematic liberties to create sympathy on the protagonist.

The core idea and Amala Paul's gutsy move is exciting, but the reasoning that goes behind her naked state might look flat for a set of audience. One would wonder if this was needed to be done to make one realize about her own self. The character detailing of Amala Paul is not completely clear. Also, the writing had a few lags in the latter half which might reduce the impact for a few. Vijay Kartik Kannan is a super talent and his taste for colors is impressive.

The entire film is aesthetically shot and ample amount of credits to the team. Pradeep Kumar and Oorka band's music stands tall and it transfers the tension to the audience. The editing is commendable that suffixes the film's setting. Rathnakumar's idea and thought process, along with the execution is appreciable. One would have loved it if the work was done to perfection.! Nevertheless, a commendable effort put up by the makers!

The film that has been the talk of the town for quite some time, Amala Paul’s Aadai, raised instant curiosity among fans after the first look poster was released last year. Directed by Rathna Kumar, the upcoming thriller is a major shift for the director after his romantic comedy, Meyaadha Maan, became a big hit in 2017. Aadai, which was given an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board, will now have its trailer released on July 6, and will be unveiled by acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Coming out in theatres on July 19, Aadai generated a lot of talk after the release of the film’s teaser a few days back, which went on to receive a stellar response. The teaser showing Amala Paul in a shocking situation where she is completely naked was one of the most debated topics on social media with director Rathna Kumar stating her character in the film, Kamini, is tailor-made for the popular actress, who has also been beaming with pride about her role in the film ever since production kicked off.

Not much is known about Aadai’s story and the trailer will hopefully shed more light on what fans can expect when the film comes out in theatres in less than 3 weeks. Being billed to be an “arrogant, audacious and artistic” film, Aadai includes Vivek Prasanna and popular VJ Ramya Subramanian in supporting roles and has been produced by Viji Subramaniam under the V Studios banner with music by Pradeep Kumar.
