Thala Ajith is on a roll! His 2019 got off to a great start with Viswasam, directed by Siruthai Siva. The movie went up against Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta at the Box Office and emerged the winner! This family drama had Nayanthara as the female lead and was well received by all classes of audiences. Following this, it was announced that Ajith would work in two movies for the late Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor's production house - Bayview Projects LLP banner! The first among these was Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of the super hit Hindi movie Pink. NKP was directed by H Vinoth of Theeran and Sathuranga Vettai fame and this movie too had a very good reach among the audiences!

It was then announced that Ajith's next movie - Thala 60, would also be directed by H Vinoth and that it would be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. This project was scheduled to take off earlier but there were some unfortunate delays. However, we now have official confirmation on the shoot date! In a recent event, Boney Kapoor has just revealed that the shoot of Thala 60 would start on December 13th! He further also revealed that Thala Ajith would be playing a cop's role in this project, which is reportedly being called Valimai. The female lead is yet to be revealed though.

Recently, when Nayanthara was on vacation in the USA with Vignesh Shivn, the couple met up with Boney Kapoor and his daughters. Photos from this meeting went viral on the internet and set off speculations that this could mean that the Lady Superstar could be roped in to play the lead in Thala 60. It’s official - actor Ajith Kumar’s next film with director H. Vinoth under producer Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP banner, which was being called tentatively as, Thala 60, has now been titled, VALIMAI, with a formal pooja performed today (18.10.2019) at Chennai. Announced a while back to be a summer 2020 release, the film is the second consecutive outing for Ajith, H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after their Nerkonda Paarvai released a couple of months back and went on to become a critical and commercial success. Ajith’s PRO, Suresh Chandra, took to Twitter drop the massive announcement saying Valimai is flagging off with the blessings of Boney Kapoor’s late wife and actress Sridevi with Zee Studios International also coming on board on the production front, Yuvan Shankar Raja revealed to be scoring music, Nirav Shah for the cinematography and Kathir as the art director. Production on Valimai will kick-off in the days ahead after it was initially planned to begin towards the end of August and it remains to be seen if Ajith is indeed playing the role of a police officer as per speculations that have been doing the rounds for a while. Prior to the title being revealed, the Thala 60 pooja tag has been at the top in India trends and is no doubt an exciting aspect considering there was no announcement regarding the title from the makers until now. Billed to be an out-and-out action feast, director H. Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor had a while back informed fans that Valimai will cater to fans as well as family audiences.

With Thala 60 set to begin in the coming days, we will finally get to know who the rest of the cast and crew in the film will be apart from Ajith in the lead role. There has been considerable debate on who will be scoring music for the film as composers Yuvan Shankar Raja and Harris Jayaraj are said to be the front runners right now. Announced to be a summer 2020 release, we will also be getting to know who will be playing the female lead as a few popular names are already doing the rounds.

Vinoth. Ajith also recently participated in the 45th Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship held recently at Coimbatore where he qualified for the National Level Rifle Competition, which will be held in December at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, his upcoming film, tentatively titled Thala 60, is all set to kick-off production after a formal pooja towards the end of this month. That said, pictures of the star sporting a clean-shaven look with his hair dyed to black alongside a fan have now gone viral on social media, leaving many saying he looks just as young as he did 10-15 years back. 

Announced for an April 2020 worldwide theatrical release, Thala 60 will see Ajith teaming up for the second consecutive time with director H. As of now, Thala 60 has been revealed to be an out-and-out intense action film, which producer Boney Kapoor and director H. Vinoth have stated will cater to family audiences. The rest of the cast and technical crew are expected to be revealed when the film goes down on floors later towards the end of this month.

Ever since it was revealed that producer Boney Kapoor would be making two back-to-back films with ‘Thala’ Ajith and both the projects to be helmed by director H. Vinoth, the excitement surrounding the ventures shot up instantly. The first of the two films, Nerkonda Paarvai, is coming out in theatres worldwide this week on August 8. As for the trio’s next venture together, Thala 60, as it has been tentatively titled, the film was earlier announced to roll into production from the end of this month under the Bayview Project LLP banner in light of an April 2020 release plan. That said, producer Boney Kapoor during the official press screening for Nerkonda Paarvai earlier today had interacted with the media persons and went on to reveal that the Thala 60 pooja will take place towards the end of this month on August 29.

Boney Kapoor further added saying Thala 60 is going to be an action thriller with plenty of family emotions and will serve to be what fans will most look forward to witness in an Ajith film. He concluded by saying that an official press statement will be released soon regarding the music director, the rest of the cast and crew as well.

Thala Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai will be hitting the screens on August 8th and the expectations are quite high for this film. Bankrolled by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP, in association with Zee Studios, Nerkonda Paarvai is directed by H Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame. The young and talented director is known for his strong research in his films that happens to be the major secret behind his success. Post the release of Nerkonda Paarvai, Vinoth will once again be collaborating with Ajith for the actor's 60th film. This one is going to be an original film, unlike Nerkonda Paarvai which is the remake of the Bollywood film, Pink.

This untitled film will go on floors from the first week of September and the pooja will happen towards the end of August. This film was speculated to have music by A.R.Rahman. However, when we checked with director Vinoth, he denied the rumour and added that the team has not made any decisions on that yet. Galatta Media got in touch with the Nerkonda Paarvai director in an exclusive interview and while he was asked if Rahman is the composer of AK 60, he denied and stated, "No, that is not true. Nothing has been finalized. I haven't even met Rahman sir and the there have been no talks with him until now.

Nothing is true. I guess this was a rumour started by a few fans on the social media. We haven't finalized on any of the actors or technicians. One thing I can tell for now is that the film will be high on action. We will decide other things only post the release of Nerkonda Paarvai."

Thala Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai will be hitting the screens on August 10th this year and the post production works are progressing at a rapid pace. As we know, this H Vinoth directorial is the official remake of Amitabh Bachchan - Taapsee starrer Pink. The theatrical trailer of this courtroom drama released three days back on YouTube opening to highly positive reviews from the general audience and Thala fans. The strong content of the film and the intense screenplay in the trailer has given great support to the film as the fans have already started to set expectations.

Post the completion of Nerkonda Paarvai, the trio of producer Boney Kapoor - Ajith Kumar - director H Vinoth will be joining hands once again for the actor's 60th film and the shooting of this film is slated to start around mid-August. Though the film is officially announced already, producer Boney has once again confirmed the news through one of his recent interviews to Galatta.

In an exclusive conversation, as part of the promotions of Nerkonda Paarvai, producer Boney talked about Thala 60. He said, "My next film is with Ajith and Vinoth, the same director and same actor. That is going to be an original film. It would be a thriller; an adventurous film with a lot of action, and good content." This update, coming from the producer himself, has excited all the fans of Ajith who are sharing the update with delight on social media.

The fans can be assured that Thala 60 is going to be an intense action thriller from Ajith and Vinoth. This untitled film is scheduled to release on April 10th, 2020. A project that has raised massive curiosity with nothing beyond the director and production house revealed so far, Ajith’s Thala 60 was announced earlier this year to be an April 2020 release. To be directed by H. Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and the much-awaited upcoming Nerkonda Paarvai fame, there have been reports of late stating SJ Suryah was being eyed by producer Boney Kapoor to be part of the venture, which the acclaimed filmmaker turned actor has now denied in an official statement on his Twitter page. He tweeted out saying the rumors and reports that are being spread across the media and social networking forums are all false while adding he has great respect for actor Ajith and the late actress Sridevi Boney Kapoor.

SJ Suryah’s name first started doing the rounds for Ajith’s Thala 60 when producer Boney Kapoor met the hit director and actor to talk about his latest release, Monster. Details regarding their meeting was revealed by SJ Suryah himself during a phone conversation where he stated that Boney Kapoor is yet to watch Monster and would give him his feedback soon. He further added that the Nerkonda Paarvai producer had also bankrolled the remake of his Vijay and Jyothika starrer blockbuster, Kushi, in Hindi titled Khushi, which had Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. 

SJ Suryah's upcoming projects include two long-delayed ventures starting with ace filmmaker's much-awaited romantic horror film, Nenjam Marappathillai followed by Maya fame Ashwin Saravanan's Iravaakaalam with production on his Uyarndha Manithan alongside iconic Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan currently underway. 

As of now, not much is known about Thala 60 other than the fact that it will be an out-and-out action film. All eyes are now set on Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai coming out in theatres on August 10 with the film’s first look post released a while back going on to receive an electrifying response from fans everywhere. An official remake of the smash hit Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer in Hindi, Pink, the upcoming Tamil film includes a huge ensemble cast featuring names like Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Arjun Chidambaram, Abirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Adhik Ravichandran, Ashwin Rao, Rangaraj Pandey, KK Menon, Kalki Koechlin among others with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Thala Ajith is right now spending some quality time with his family. His 59th film, Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor is in the post-production stages and the makers have scheduled to release the film on August 10, 2019. This courtroom drama, which has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, features Vidya Balan, Rangaraj Pandey, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Adhik Ravichandran, in the star cast.

Leaving that film aside, his next would also be directed by the same filmmaker, H Vinoth. With Boney Kapoor bankrolling this project, this film is announced as a April 2020 release. The shooting plans of this film is yet to be known. However, we have a breaking update for our followers and Ajith fans! Yes, we are informed by our sources close to the Thala 60 camp that the film will be mostly shot in abroad and exotic foreign locales.

We also hear that this will be a stylish action entertainer that would showcase a different dimension of Thala Ajith. In addition, our sources tell that the production team of Thala 60 had a meeting recently with Sathya Jyothi Films to discuss various aspects of shooting majority of the film in foreign locations. The two production teams are said to have discussed the experiences of shooting Vivegam in abroad.

Having said this, it is going to be highly exciting to see Ajith starring in Vinoth's own script, that being an action film set in an International backdrop. The technical team and the star cast of this action entertainer are yet to be locked and an official announcement regarding the same will be out in the coming days.
