Karthick Naren is one of the most talented filmmakers who has made a mark for himself with just 1 of his movies being released. He shot to fame with his very first movie - the crime thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, which had Rahman in the lead and released in 2016. Following that, he began work on his next - Naragasooran, with Arvind Swamy and Shriya Saran in the lead. However, the movie ran into roadblocks and has been on the backburner since. Putting all these aside, he began work on his next project, which has been titled Mafia: Chapter 1.
Today, Mafia's lead Arun Vijay completes 25 years of his acting career filled with a lot of lows and a few highs. From Arun Kumar to Arun Vijay, he has come a long way as an actor, however, it was Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal which gave him the much deserving breakthrough. Since, then he has been taking roles that suits his image. He is someone who pushes himself to fit into the character that he plays. With a few successive hits, Arun Vijay is finally becoming a bankable star. He is all geared up for his next film Mafia: Chapter 1 which will release this Friday on the 21st of February. Actress turned director Vanitha Vijayakumar has been in the headlines quite often for her controversial statements. She recently made it big as one of the most popular contestants on the recently concluded season of Bigg Boss Tamil. Her bold and opinionated statements on the show made her one of the most popular among the audiences. It is well known that Vanitha has an issue with her family members and they have not been on the best terms for quite some years now. Any gathering of the Vijayakumar family doesn't involve Vanitha and on the release of any such family photos or videos, she takes to her social media accounts to express her disappointment. Recently, she has put out another such emotional statement...
Vanitha Vijayakumar gave a recent interview to the media and in that, she has expressed a heartfelt statement. Following this, she has also put up a series of tweets addressed to her brother Arun Vijay and the rest of her family members, including her father Vijayakumar and sisters Sridevi and Preetha. She has stated that a real hero doesn't cheat or hurt his own sister. She went on to state that she has been constantly humiliated and ignored by him and their sisters and has asked him to sort out the issues. She also demanded that she be treated equally and not disrespected.
Further tweets from Vanitha also urged Arun Vijay to step up and sort out their differences and to be an inspiration to his fans and not set a bad example for them. She requested that all of them let bygones be bygones. Adding to this, Vanitha also mentioned that nobody is perfect and that none of them are perfect. Vanitha seems to have poured her heart out and this has raised polarised opinions from her Twitter followers. Most of them have sympathised with her while some of them have asked her to sort out the matter in person and not wash their family's dirty linen in public. It is being reported that Vanitha's son Hari is also not in touch with her and that he has also been kept away from her. Let's hope this issue gets resolved amicably.

Galatta Breaking: Arun Vijay to team up with his superhit director for the second time!

Arun Vijay is right now at the peak of his career with all his last four direct Tamil films (Yennai Arindhaal, Kuttram 23, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Thadam) becoming box office hits and earning him good name and fame. He recently completed shooting for his next, Mafia, the stylish action drama, directed by Karthick Naren and produced by Lyca. He is right now shooting for Sinam which is directed by GNR Kumaravelan of Haridas and Ninaithale Inikkum fame.
We have now got some exclusive details on a new project that the stylish actor has signed. Our close sources inform that Arun Vijay will be teaming up with director Arivazhagan for this new film and this will be the duo's second collaboration after Kuttram 23.
We are also told that the shooting of this film will start from the first week of December. An official announcement on this project is awaited. Arun is also part of Agni Siragugal, which is a multistarrer also featuring Vijay Antony, Shalini Pandey, Akshara Haasan as the other leads.

Actor Arun Vijay is a mighty busy star these days having landed starring roles in notable upcoming ventures and was also seen in a major supporting role in the recently-released Prabhas starrer, Saaho. Having carved a niche for himself as a powerful talent after a sensational performance in ‘Thala’ Ajith’s smash hit, Yennai Arindhaal, in 2015, Arun Vijay’s career has since then scaled upwards with the star now part of several projects after delivering the runaway hit, Thadam, earlier this year. Now, sources close to us have revealed that Arun Vijay will next be teaming up with producer Vijay Raghavendra for a film, which will be bankrolled under the All In Pictures banner. Additional details on the film's director, cast and rest of the crew is expected to be made in an official announcement in the days ahead. All In Pictures is known for making the Jiiva starrer, Gorilla, which released earlier this year and are at present also funding Trisha and Simran’s upcoming action adventure untitled film being helmed by Sadhuram 2 fame, Sumanth Radhakrishnan.
As for Arun Vijay’s upcoming films, he awaits the release of the first installment of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru director Karthick Naren’s upcoming action thriller, Mafia: Chapter 1, alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar and Prasanna, while also being part of the action drama, Boxer, opposite Irudhi Suttru heroine Ritika Singh followed by Moodar Koodam director Naveen’s Agni Siragugal, which also has Vijay Antony playing another hero, as well as the tentatively titled, AV 30, under Wagah fame GNR Kumaravelan's direction in which he will seen as a cop and a film with director Gautham Menon.

A film that has been talked about right from the moment it was launched, Saaho, starring Prabhas in the lead role kicked off production around the time the blockbuster, Baahubali 2, had been released in 2017. Helmed by director Sujeeth, the action thriller has been produced by UV Creations and is hitting theatres worldwide on August 30. Made in Telugu and being dubbed in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, the film was initially planned for an August 15 release, but was later pushed by two weeks owing to the VFX and CG works that needed to be completed with the makers focused on delivering the best in terms of content and quality. With less than 3 weeks to go for the film’s theatrical release, a full-throttle and action-packed Saaho trailer is now out.
Expectations have been massive for Saaho which had an electrifying teaser released not long back with fans showering praises on the gripping action as well as the high-end visuals. Furthermore, the “Psycho Saiyyan” song featured on Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor has turned out to be a chartbuster hit across all languages with fans awaiting a cracker of an entertainer in theatres. Saaho is a multi-starrer with Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the antagonist, Arun Vijay, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Malayalam actor Lal among others in major supporting roles.

On 3rd of July, hash tag bottle cap challenge was going viral on the internet in India, while it actually initiated by Taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin, on June 25th. But only after mixed martial-artist, Max Holloway tried it out, the celebrities at India attempted it as well.
Bollywood celebrities Akshay Kumar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff Sushmita Sen and back home, Action King Arjun et all were trying it out. And now, Arun Vijay has been challenged by his Kuttram 23 director, Arivazhagan and he accepted to do so.
After his recent release, Thadam, Arun Vijay has Agni Siragugal, Saaho, Boxer and Mafia in his kitty. Boxer's first look was leaked yesterday, and hence the team did not have a chance but to release it hours later the leak.
On the other hand Mafia's first look came out a couple of days ago, that looked ravishing and stylish, which will be directed by Karthick Naren. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the movie also features, Prasanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in crucial roles. The first look also revealed that there'll be a second installment of the movie.

Arun Vijay who has got two back to back super hit films in the form of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Magizh Thirumeni's Thadam will be looking forward to continuing the success streak with his next set of films too. His upcoming line up of films include Boxer, directed by debutante Vivek and the young Karthick Naren's action thriller, Mafia, produced by Lyca. Talking about Mafia, we have now got some interesting details about this project. The team had a photo shoot recently, on the 3rd of June at a private studio with Arun Vijay.
It is said that the team finalized Arun Vijay's look for the film and it is said to be a very stylish and suave look that will definitely add a new flavour. The first look poster along with the announcement of the title might come very soon and the film is expected to go on floors within a month or two. Touted to be an action thriller, Mafia is said to have Prasanna as the antagonist and Nivetha Pethuraj as the female lead.
Arun Vijay also has Boxer in his kitty, which is an action sports film focussing on the sport of Boxing. Boxer is directed by debutante Vivek that has Ritika Singh playing Arun Vijay's love interest.

About Simbu, Vijay said, “Simbu... Very cute actually, a jovial person. He has the same character in the film as well. A laid back person. We will have a perception over him initially... Simbu is like that... like this and those things... all those perceptions will be broken if we speak with him. He is very disciplined. It is wonderful. This (CCV) will be an important film to him”
About the car action sequence, “It was actually fun because Mani sir couldn't sit there. The car has four cameras. It was a huge sequence and we have to shoot it in a particular magic hours. Simbu was scared initially as Vijay Sethupathi has to drive and act as well. Then Vijay Sethupathi said, ‘Don’t be afraid I will do it correctly’. Vijay managed it well”, added Arun Vijay.
