Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay has kicked off 2024 on a bang with his latest film, Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, directed by blockbuster filmmaker A. L. Vijay featuring songs and a background score composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar. The action thriller film is witnessing a big jump in the theatre count, including additional shows being added in order to meet the audience's demand, and is set to kickstart a positive start for Tamil cinema for the year up ahead. The prestigious Lyca Productions banner has been aggressively promoting Mission: Chapter 1 informing fans on social media on Friday, January 19, that the Arun Vijay film has won the hearts of the audiences everywhere as it enters the second week in its theatrical run. Sharing new posters, the makers wrote, "Embarking on the 2nd week of MISSION Chapter-1 ???? Arun Vijay too has been going out of his way over the past couple of weeks by promoting Mission: Chapter 1 with a fractured arm by visiting theatres across Tamil Nadu and interacting with fans, while also clicking selfies with them. The Yennai Arindhaal actor posted a video on X along with a heartfelt statement yesterday after visiting a cinema hall in Pondicherry and expressed his gratitude for their show of support towards his latest film. Arun Vijay wrote, "Thanks for all the unconditional love and  appreciation for #MissionChapter1 !!??????????  This pushes me to work even harder to always entertain you'll..???????? Love you all..????" (sic)

Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye has Arun Vijay sharing screen space with English actress Amy Jackson, who has made a big comeback to films and Tamil cinema after five years after her last appearance in the 'Superstar' Rajinikanth blockbuster, 2.0 (2018), while Nimisha Sajayan has once again impressed in her role after powerful performances in Chithha (2023) and Jigarthanda DoubleX (2023). 

Vanangaan is a movie that has been the talk of Kollywood-town for some time now. The film will be directed by critically acclaimed director Bala. It was said Suriya will play the lead role in the film and 2D production will bankroll the film. It would have been a reunion of the successful director-actor combo after Nandha and Pithamagan. In December, the director released a statement saying due to some changes in the story, he found that Suriya might not be suitable for the role and 2D Entertainment, the production house of Suriya and Jyothika, also backed off from the project. 

Reports state that Arun Vijay is replacing Suriya as the lead of Vanangaan. It's speculated that the talented actor completed a look test for the film a few days back and the shooting of the film has resumed. Fans await official confirmation from the makers of the film. It is also speculated that Roshni Prakash who was a part of Yemali and Jada would be the female lead of the film.

Arun Vijay is a talented and well-known actor in the Tamil film industry. He has multiple projects in the line-up including Borrder, a long-delayed film by the director that is in the pipeline, and Achcham Enbadhu Illaye directed by AL Vijay. The filming for Acccham Enbadhu Illaye was warped in February in London and it looks like the actor is back for filming Vanangaan. Movie buffs and fans are excited as it will be the first collaboration of the director and actor combo, with GV Prakash as music composer for the film. Reports said the portions that were shot with the lead actor will be re-shot with Arun Vijay. However, an official conformation from the makers of the film could be released in a few days as fans await the first look of Arun Vijay as Vanangaan.

Arun Vijay finishes shooting for his next project Achcham Enbathu Illayae. The film was announced in October directed by Al Vijay recently wrapped up shooting. The big-budget film set in London also features Amy Jackson and malayalam actress Nimisha Vijayan. Hit combo of director AL Vijay and music director GV Prakash have teamed up for the flick. The film looks like a thriller as the first-look poster featured Arun Vijay's character carrying a duffel bag with a girl-child against a London backdrop with haunting orange-red skies. The crew reportedly wrapped up a 70-day long shoot in London after a schedule in Chennai. The makers of the film also revealed a character introduction poster of actress Amy Jackson on her birthday. It featured the actress in a pin-stripped suit and she will play the character Sandra James. 

The production house backing the film Shri Shirdi Sai Movies, who are prominent in Telugu film industry shared a thank you note to the entire crew and cast of the movie on the final shoot day on Twitter. They  said “We are grateful for the immense dedication of our director Al Vijay and Hero Arun Vijay Garu", and went on to thank Amy Jackson, Bharath Bopanna, Nimisha Vijayan and Kadaram Kondan fame Abi Hassan. On the technical side, the film is backed by Cinematographer Sandeep, Writer A.Mahdev and actions by Stunt Silva.

Industry analyst Sreedhar Pillar shared selfie from the sets of film by Bharath Boopan that's set for a PAN-India release This year. Arun Vijay earlier shared a story on his Instagram profile showing his diet-cooking skills from the sets and some candid photos of Amy Jackson and Arun Vijay interacting in the sets also went viral. AL Vijay's last film Thalaivi (2021) was a political drama biopic starring Kangana Ranaut. Arun Vijay’s Borrder is set to release in this summer.

Sinam is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film written by R. Saravanan and directed by G. N. R. Kumaravelan. Produced by R. Vijayakumar and Vedikaranpatti S. Sakthivel under the banners of Movie Slides Pvt Ltd and Drumsticks Productions respectively, the film stars Arun Vijay and Palak Lalwani in the lead roles with Kaali Venkat, RNR Manohar, KSG Venkatesh, and Marumalarchi Bharathi among others in supporting roles. The film has been scheduled for a theatrical release on September 16.

The makers of the film recently dropped a brand new promo for the film. This 48 seconds promo features Arun Vijay take center stage with his rugged look and captivating performance. That is not all but we get to see the man perform some fiery actions sequences in which he is seen mercilessly beating the bad guys to pulp without holding back. One takeaway from the promo is that the stunts will be top-notch which only increases the hype around the film. 

Arun Vijay will be seen donning the role of a police officer in this highly anticipated film of his. On the technical side of things, the cinematography of the film is done by Gopinath, editing by A. Rajamohammed, music composed by Shabir Tabare Alam with the songs lyrics writen by Karky, Eknath, Priyan, and Thamizhanangu. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arun Vijay was last seen in the film Yaanai which hit the screens earlier this year in the month of July. He also recently acted in the web series Tamil Rockers which is available for streaming on Sony Liv. After Sinam, Arun Vijay will be seen in Arivazhagan Venkatachalam's spy action thriller Borrder which has been scheduled to hit the screens on 5 October 2022.

Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay's Sinam is all set to open in cinemas worldwide on September 16 and the buzz for the film on social media has been largely positive. The actor is coming off the success of his previous theatrical release, Yaanai, and will be looking to hit the bullseye once again with the upcoming film directed by GNR Kumaravelan of Ninaithale Inikkum fame, which has him playing the role of a police officer once again after Kuttram 23 (2017). Produced by Arun Vijay's father Vijayakumar under the Movie Slides Pvt Ltd banner, Sinam was recently certified U/A by the censor board and the film's runtime has been cleared to be standing at 1 hour and 54 minutes, which indicates director GNR Kumaravelan has packaged a tight story and screenplay. 

Sinam is carrying quite a lot of expectations and the makers have now released an intense sneak peek promo featuring Arun Vijay being recalled to active police duty after he gets suspended for attacking a fellow cop. The scene shows R. N. R. Manohar as the chief police officer trying to convince Arun Vijay as Pari Venkat to get back to donning the khakhi and take charge of his duty with a cool mind. This one Sinam scene shows tension boiling in Arun Vijay after an injustice and it will be interesting to witness how he comes up to tackle the issue. 

One of the biggest strengths of Sinam is its runtime as we hear the first half of the film will come to be around 1 hour and 4 minutes, while the second half will be short at 49 minutes. The film is expected to talk about an important social issue and how the police department factors into solving the crime. Director GNR Kumaravelan, who is known for his previous ventures like Ninaithaale Inikkum and Haridas, will be hoping Sinam will come out on top and prove to be a box office success. The film has Arun Vijay sharing screen space with Palak Lalwani playing the female lead, who is known for appearing in G. V. Prakash Kumar's Kuppathu Raja, and includes music composed by Shabir.

Borrder is an upcoming Tamil spy thriller film written and directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam and produced by Vijaya Raghavendra under the banner of All in Pictures. The film will feature Arun Vijay, Regina Cassandra and Stefy Patel in lead roles with Bagavathi Perumal, Shan Sharif Khan, and Chandrasekar Koneru in supporting roles. The film is said to revolves around idea of patriotism and is set in the military backdrop is shot in Chennai, Delhi, and Agra. 

The film was scheduled for a theatrical release on 19 November 2021 but was later postponed due to floods in Chennai. Well, now comes some grand news as the film's release date has been confirmed. It is now all for a grand pan-Indian release on 5 October 2022. The film's makers took to their official Twitter handle to announce this newfound news that is bound to make the avid fans happy.

The film was earlier titled to be Zindabad but was later changed to Borrder. This will also mark the second collaboration between actor Arun Vijay and director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam as they have previously worked together on the 2017 action thriller film Kuttram 23. 

The music of the film is composed by Sam C. S. and the lyrics are penned by Viveka. The soundtrack is released by Think Music. According to Arun Vijay, Borrder is one of his best flicks. After the film's shoot had come to an end, Arun Vijay delivered Apple iPads to all the crucial people in the film, including the director and cameraman. 

Arun Vijay said, "A token of appreciation for your outstanding performance in the film. Thanks to the brilliant director who came up with this fantastic idea and cast it for me. One film that created instant excitement among fans upon its announcement is the long-awaited Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony-starrer Agni Siragugal directed by Moodar Koodam fame Naveen. M. Touted to be an action thriller and produced by T. Siva’s Amma Creations banner, the upcoming film's title set fans talking as it has been taken from late President Abdul Kalam's book, Wings of Fire. Agni Siragugal had begun production back in 2018 and completed shooting sometime in 2020 after a few unexpected delays. With the film currently in its post-production stages, the makers on Friday released the much-awaited Agni Siragugal teaser, which shows plenty of exciting action sequences, including a showdown between Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony. 

Agni Siragugal is a multi-starrer and also features in its ensemble cast names like Akshara Hassan, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Satish Kumar, Raima Sen, Sendrayan among others, with the film shot in international locations across Kazakhstan, Russia, and Switzerland. The teaser roleplays Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay as warriors battling each other in ancient Rome with the sole intention of one of them being the last one standing. The Agni Siragugal teaser gives a glimpse into the high-octane action and the top-quality production value, with director Naveen raising more curiosity with his voice-over monologue describing Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony and the conflict they are facing. 

Apart from the star-studded cast, Agni Siragugal has a highly-talented technical team featuring the likes of music director Natarajan Sankaran, followed by K.A. Batcha for the cinematography, Vetri Krishnan handling the editing, Mahesh Mathew in charge of the action choreography, Sowbaranika taking care of the costume design, and Yugabarathi, Naveen, and Therukkural Arivu penning the lyrics. The Agni Siragugal teaser ends on a high note informing fans that the trailer will be coming out soon and thus signaling that the promotions for the film's release will kick off in the days ahead.

Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay's next venture, Yaanai, is the big comeback film for blockbuster director Hari of Saamy and Singam franchise fame. A rural mass action family entertainer, the upcoming film is the first-time collaboration for Arun Vijay with the filmmaker. Apart from directing Yaanai, Hari has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues, with speculations doing the rounds that the film will be coming out in theatres sometime in early 2022. Produced under the Drumsticks Productions banner, Yaanai has been shot extensively in and around Dhanushkodi and important locales in Tamil Nadu, with the makers on Thursday releasing the film's action-packed teaser. 

The Yaanai teaser slowly builds up to the crucial moment of the big reveal of Arun Vijay going up against a group of goons and taking them down, with composer G. V. Prakash Kumar's background score powering through. Although not much is revealed in the teaser, we get a sneak peek into Arun Vijay's role and character, and the overall tone of the film, which will no doubt cater to fans of director Hari, who has tasted massive success with his expertise in the action and family entertainer genres. Yaanai will also be releasing in Telugu under the title Enugu and has Arun Vijay romancing youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar for the second time after the two had earlier shared screen space last year in the action thriller Mafia. 

Apart from Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar, Yaanai's star cast includes names like veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, KGF fame Garuda Ram, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Rajesh, Ammu Abhirami, Jayapalan, Cook with Comali fame Pugazh, Bose Venkat, Thalaivasal Vijay, Imman Annachi, Aishwarya, Rama, and others in pivotal roles. The film will see Arun Vijay going up against Garuda Ram, who is cast as the antagonist and their fight sequences have been reported to be one of the major highlights, with the action choreographed by Anl Arasu.

Actor Arun Vijay's father in law and popular Tamil producer, Dr. NS Mohan passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, April 27. The news was shared by Arun Vijay's PR team and condolence messages have been pouring in from all quarters. NS Mohan was 68 years old when he breathed his last and it is said that he died following a brief illness for the last few days. At this juncture, Galatta Media expresses its heartfelt condolences to Arun Vijay, Aarthi Mohan, and the entire family. Let us pray for the departed soul to rest in peace. NS Mohan produced four films starring Arun Vijay and those four movies happen to be Vaa Deal, Malai Malai, Maanja Velu, and Thadaiyara Thaaka.

Mohan produced these films under the banner of Feather Touch Entertainment. Among the four movies, Thadaiyara Thaaka gave Arun Vijay the biggest breakthrough and it earned critical acclaim. Malai Malai was also a success at the box office. Vaa Deal is yet to see the light of day. Arun Vijay's fans are mourning the unfortunate demise of Dr. NS Mohan on social media. Details regarding the cremation and final rites are yet to be known.

Ace actress Radikaa Sarathkumar has been signed onboard to act in an important role in Arun Vijay’s upcoming action drama with director Hari. It is a known fact that Arun Vijay is doing a new film with director Hari who is known for his rural action films and family dramas. The makers have been announcing the cast one by one and on that note, the latest announcement was made regarding Radikaa Sarathkumar’s addition. The ace actress is a strong performer and it is going to be interesting to see her in a family drama, after a long time.
