It is said to be an exciting romantic drama with a science fiction element. The teaser video of the film that was revealed shows it involves a multiverse element with time travel. The film is directed by Vignesh Karthick, who has acted in a handful of films and made his directorial debut with the film Thittam Irandu, which premiered on a popular OTT directly. The trailer of the anticipated film has been released by sought-after actor-director Dhanush.

The trailer of Adiyae opens, showing G.V. Prakash hearing a news telecast about Vijay’s dropped project Yohan: Adhiyayam Ondru, which is celebrating its 150th day of release. It then shows snowing in Chennai and the lead actor meeting the character played by Venkat Prabhu. The Thalapathy 68 director then explains the concept of the multiverse based on choices made by many individuals and a glimpse of some romantic scenes between the lead pair in the film played by the music composer and actress Gouri G Kishan. The video then shows different possibilities happening where the lead character is a politician, Rolex from Vikram, and then shows some action sequences that happen in a lab-like setting. It then ends with Venkat Prabhu saying, Why is he doing a love story even in a parallel universe? Instead, he could have done something like stealing an IPL betting film or saving a CM in with a time loop.

The film Adiyae, directed by Vignesh Karthick, is backed by Maali and Manvi Moviemakers. The film also has an exciting star cast that includes G.V. Prakash Kumar, Venkat Prabhu, Gouri G. Kishan, Madumkesh, and Mirchi Vijay in important roles. The film will also have music by Justin Prabhakaran and the intriguing trailer creates excitement for the film. With the trailer, the makers have also announced that the film will release in theatres on August 25th.

National Award-winning cinematographer P. C. Sreeram has confirmed that his next big film in Tamil will star Karthi in the lead role under 96 (2018) fame Prem Kumar's direction. Revealing that the upcoming film, tentatively being called Karthi 27, will be produced by Suriya and Jyotika and co-produced by Rajsekar Pandian under their 2D Entertainment banner, the celebrated technician informed that an official announcement about the project will be out soon. P. C. Sreeram further mentioned that Karthi will be sharing screen space with actor Arvind Swami, who has been cast in a key role while adding that Govind Vasantha will be composing the music for the film. 

Taking to Twitter, P. C. Sreeram wrote, "My next project will be with @dirpremkumar96  ,who gave the ultimate love story, 96. The project will have @Karthi_Offl and @thearvindswami, with music from #GovindVasantha & produced by @2D_ENTPVTLTD   @Suriya_offl  #jyotika @rajsekarpandian  .Dates will be announced by 2D soon. (sic)" This latest update has come after there were reports earlier this year that Karthi and Prem Kumar would be collaborating on a film, with all eyes now set on the Karthi 27 movie announcement in the days ahead.

Karthi 27 has fans mighty excited as it is director Prem Kumar's next big film after 96, which had Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead roles, and went on to become a blockbuster while earning massive critical acclaim. The news of composer Govind Vasantha, who too played a big role in the phenomenal box office success of 96 with his memorable songs and moving background score, boarding the film will no doubt kindle a bigger interest among Tamil cinema fans. Karthi, who has been on a continuous winning streak with films like Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan: I, Sardar, and Ponniyin Selvan: II, is currently awaiting the release of his Japan this Diwali. The actor is at present busy filming the tentatively titled Karthi 26 under Soodhu Kavvum and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum fame Nalan Kumarasamy's direction, who is making his big comeback to filmmaking after an eight-year-hiatus. Likewise, the addition of Arvind Swami too lends strength to Karthi 27 and it now remains to be seen if he will be seen as the antagonist.

The song composed by Justin Prabhakaran also has lyrics penned by Bagavathy P.K. The song is about the first love between the leading characters of the film played by G.V. Prakash Kumar during their school days. The song is also sung by music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The lyrical video shows some cute scenes between the leading characters of the film and shows the lead character in a one-side love. The melody song with Yuvan Shankar Raja's voice will surely resonate well among the audience.

The song lyrics also hints that the hero has crossed from his world to another one for the heroine. Vijay Sethupathi - Trisha starrer 96 is one of the most special films for the Tamil audience and it was celebrated by one and all during the time of the film's release. Ram and Jaanu turned out to be instantly likeable characters that found a special place in the hearts of the audience. The film was raved by the audience for its top-class performances, mesmerising music, and beautifully packaged emotions. After the critical and commercial success of 96, the film was remade in Telugu with Sharwanand and Samantha and the remake was titled Jaanu. C Prem Kumar who helmed the original version, directed the Telugu remake, as well. However, Jaanu opened to mixed reviews, unlike the Tamil version.

Following the Telugu remake, 96 is now all set to be remade in Hindi and the official announcement regarding the same has been made. The Hindi remake rights of 96 have been acquired by producer Ajay Kapoor. Vijay Sethupathi shared the news about this development through his official Twitter page in which he wrote, "As an actor, it gives me immense joy to tell stories which strike a chord with the audience, the happiness is further elevated when it reaches a wider audience. '96' has been a lovely experience for me, now as Producer Ajay Kapoor takes this journey ahead with the Hindi remake, I wish him all the best! Can't wait #AjayKapoor #AjayKapoorProductions".

Similarly, producer Ajay Kapoor seemed all excited about acquiring the remake rights of 96 as he feels that the film has the potential to appeal to the universal audience. Talking about the film in an official statement, Ajay Kapoor said, "96 was a heartwarming, light-hearted romantic tale that received humongous love from the audience. The story breaks the barriers beyond the bounds of language and region, which prompted me to remake the film in Hindi for the national audience. I am actively working on developing the right script for the narrative along with the director and right kind of star cast. Once we finalize everything, I would soon like to make the official announcement of the cast and crew".

Iconic Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, best known for his work on celebrated films like Zorba the Greek, Z and Serpico, passed away on Thursday at his home in Athens. He was 96. Considered by many in cinema to be one of the most influential composers of the 20th century, his official website has listed the reason of his death to be due to cardiopulmonary arrest. Greece’s cultural minister Lina Mendoni tweeted her condolences and wrote, "Today we lost a part of Greece’s soul. Mikis Theodorakis, Mikis the teacher, the intellectual, the radical, our Mikis, has gone." Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou hailed him as a "pan-Hellenic personality… a universal artist, an invaluable asset of our musical culture," with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announcing three days of national mourning.

Born Michail Theodorakis on Chios, the fifth largest of the Greek islands in the northern Aegean Sea, on July 29, 1925, Mikis took an interest in music and politics from a young age. He began writing music and poetry during his teen years around about the time Greece entered World War II. It was at this time when he got arrested by occupiers from Italy and Germany in the country after his involvement in left-wing resistance groups was discovered. Theodorakis was later sent to jail in the remote Greek islands, including the "re-education" camp on the tiny island of Makronissos near Athens. The composer had suffered broken limbs, including a host of respiratory issues and several other injuries after he had to endure severe physical torture. He also suffered from tuberculosis and was admitted for psychiatric treatment, while also being subjected to mock executions. That said, Theodorakis went on to carve a name for himself as a credible musician and garnered a big reputation for his musical scores on films, including the 1973 Hollywood blockbuster, Serpico, starring Al Pacino. 

Recently, a section of students from PSBB School in Chennai accused their school's Commerce Teacher, Rajagopalan, of making sexual advances. The incident came as a shocker for the entire state of Tamil Nadu and with immediate effect, the Police arrested Rajagopalan on charges of sexual harassment. He is being inquired by the Police and further details are awaited. Meanwhile, this incident has made many people open up about their traumatic school experience. Actress Gouri Kishan, who rose to fame through movies like 96 and Master, took to her Instagram page to mention that she also had similar disturbing experiences during her schooling at The Hindu Senior Secondary School, in Chennai.

Gouri mentioned that she would not like to take the names of the teachers who were involved in these incidents. Gouri's long note read, "In light of the recent expose on PSBB for harassment and misconduct, I'd like to put forward that my schooling in Hindu Senior Secondary, Adyar was hugely problematic too! After speaking to several of my school mates about the same, we've all come to a collective realisation that there was a great deal of ingrained normalising that had taken place in the school environment. Slut shaming, casteism, bullying, body shaming, character assassination, objectification, baseless accusations thrown at students, consequentially having a profound impact on a child's self esteem.

Most of us from HSSS, myself included, have faced all of the above, first hand. I don't wish to take names of the teachers who caused the emotional mayhem, but it certainly does not discount the fact that I wish to see a serious shift in culture. The environment in school was toxic as hell, and my heart goes out to each and every person who faced similar trauma - hearing personal accounts of PSBB, CV has been distressing, to say the least. Honestly, at this point, I'm genuinely shocked that in spite of the messed up schooling, many of us turned out quite alright but childhood trauma (Especially unresolved ones) run deep, and is proven psychologically that it is the reason behind several issues we face in adulthood too!

Having recalled this unpleasantness has been traumatic but a huge burden off my chest. Now I wish, more of you come out with your personal accounts in order to take this up with the school administration formally, so that we can at least hope that the forthcoming batches don't face similar abuse!".

Gouri Kishan impressed fans with her very first film playing the role of young Trisha in the 2018 romantic blockbuster, 96, which had 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role and she incidentally reprised the same role once again portraying a young Samantha in the Telugu remake of 96, Jaanu, which hit the screens early this year on February 7th. Gouri Kishan’s career is off to a great start, she is even playing a pivotal role in Thalapathy Vijay’s Master, the actress recently took to her social media space, sharing her experience about working in Master. An emotionally moved Gouri said, “It's packed up for Master. It has been an amazing experience. Met some wonderful people. I feel heavy right now. It is an emotional moment for me as an actor. I just wish I get more and more movies like these where you feel you have done something meaningful.” Well, it looks like Gouri has indeed got a meaty role in Master. After Master, Gouri will be seen in Dhanush’s Tamil movie Karnan directed by Maari Selvraj.

She starred opposite Bibin George in Margamkali. In 2019, she also starred in a short film titled Hi Hello Kadhal directed by lyricist Vinayak Sasikumar along with her friend Sarjano Khalid. Now her second film Anugraheethan Antony is waiting for release. It is her next Malayalam movie starring Sunny Wayne along with Sidhique, Indrans, Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others. The first look poster of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi’s Tughlaq Durbar was released a few days back and it grabbed the attention of the fans and film buffs. The interestingly designed poster (credits to Gopi Prasannaa) featured Vijay Sethupathi in two different shades, reflecting his character in the film. The super talented star actor will be seen playing the role of a politician in this film that has R Parthiban playing the villain. Aditi Rao Hydari is the female lead while actress Manjima Mohan will be seen playing an important role, as Vijay Sethupathi’s younger sister.

According to reports, Vijay Sethupathi plays a fraudster politician who undergoes a character transformation after an impactful incident. The makers are yet to complete the shoot and the remaining portions will be shot when the lockdown gets uplifted and everyone is declared safe from the pandemic. Master’s co-producer Lalit Kumar has produced this film under his banner, 7 Screen Studios.

Tughlaq Durbar is directed by debutant Delhi Prasad Deenadayalan and has music scored by 96 sensation Govind Vasantha. Ace cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the camera while Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi fame Balaji Tharaneetharan has penned the dialogues. The satellite rights of this political satire film is acquired by Sun TV, while the audio rights belong to Think Music.

Having said all these, it is now time for us to gear up for the first single from the film. Yes! The makers have announced that the first single song will be released coming Monday, on August 3 at 5 PM. This song is called ‘Annathe Sethi’. We are yet to know who has crooned and penned this song, but it looks like an interesting fun number is getting ready for release. After the massive success of 96 soundtrack, Govind Vasantha and Vijay Sethupathi are teaming up again in this film and hence we can expect that magic to repeat itself. This announcement has made the fans look forward to something interesting and let us hope that the single song lives up to the expectations.

Apart from Tughlaq Durbar, Vijay Sethupathi has a few other interesting projects in his kitty, including the mega biggie, Master starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha starred together in 96, a film which struck a chord with the audience. The film received an overwhelming response from the fans and general audience. Ram and Jaanu became one of the most favourite and beautifully written characters in the history of Tamil cinema and they eventually got a very special place in the hearts of the fans. Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha delivered their best natural performances that made the audience feel more relatable to the characters. Not to forget the mesmerising musical score of Govind Vasantha who weaved magic with ‘Kadhale Kadhale’ and other memorable tunes.

96 turned out to be a blockbuster hit at the box office that also managed to earn critical acclaim for its poignant emotions and mature making. The film was directed by popular cinematographer C Prem Kumar and it marked his directorial debut. Produced by S Nanthagopal's Madras Enterprises, 96 had cinematography by Mahendiran Jayaraju and N Shanmuga Sundaram. Apart from the leads, 96 also featured Aadithya Baaskar and Gouri G Kishan who played the younger versions of the lead characters. Devadarshini, Bagavathi Perumal, Janagaraj, Varsha Bollamma formed the supporting cast.

Having said all these, as a surprise for the fans during this lockdown, music director Govind Vasantha has composed a medley of the songs from the film and a special video for it has been released on YouTube. This 96 medley is composed and crooned by Govind Vasantha, while the original songs were sung by Pradeep Kumar, Chinmayi, and Govind. This medley song, which runs for close to 10 minutes, is a treat for all the music lovers and we’d suggest you not to miss it as it is sure to lift up your moods.

The song is mixed and mastered by Rajan KS. This video is also most likely to make the fans emotional, especially after watching the visuals. This new video is edited by Vijay M Raghavan who has done a pretty good job compiling all the beautiful shots together. The video has been released on the official YouTube channel of Think Music who owns the film’s audio rights.

While Vijay Sethupathi is busy with a lot of exciting projects, we do not know who is going to act in Prem Kumar’s next directorial venture.
