'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is out in theatres worldwide and has taken a stellar opening everywhere as the response from fans and critics has largely been positive. The film directed by blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj features music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, whose songs and background score are now the talk of the town along with the various other big highlights in the film. With fans finally getting their questions answered in regard to whether Leo is set in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), the 'Lokiverse 2.0' song has now been released as a surprise treat. 

The 'Lokiverse 2.0' track is played in Leo and starts off with the vocals of Kamal Haasan from Vikram (2022). The song then transitions to the 'Badass' song in the Vijay-starrer, followed by the 'Dilli's Swag' track in Karthi's Kaithi (2019), and concludes with Suriya's dialogue introducing himself as Rolex from Vikram. The 'Lokiverse 2.0' song featured in Leo and its official release now has no doubt come as a huge surprise and massive treat for fans, who have been singing praises of Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Anirudh. 

Among the big points that were debated leading up to Leo's release was whether it would be a part of the LCU and the answers have now finally been answered. The film is the second outing for the Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Anirudh trio, and also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, Sandy master, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, among others in key roles. With Leo out now in cinemas everywhere and fans continuing to debate about the film on social media, including the LCU, the wait is now on for the box office collections report, which can be expected to be announced soon.

Silambarasan TR's Pathu Thala will be the multi-talented actor's first big film of 2023 and is set to release in theatres worldwide on March 30. Directed by Obeli N. Krishna under the joint collaboration of K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green and Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banners, the upcoming Simbu-starrer also stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others in key roles, and features music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman. 

With all sights now set on Pathu Thala's release, the film's grand audio launch ceremony was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Saturday, March 19. Among the several big aspects that were talked about at the gala event was Silambarasan's new look, which fans have dubbed as STR 2.0. This latest look is STR's second transformation after he first made a radical change to his physical appearance back in 2020 for Eeswaran, which turned out to be a box office success when it hit screens for Pongal 2021. Known for attempting to look different in each of his films, Simbu has often dabbled in doing something new in the films he has appeared in and the actor's look in Pathu Thala and at the audio launch event have garnered quite a lot of attention.

Director Shankar's magnum opus, 2.0, featuring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role had a grand release around the globe. The film was made on a grand scale with a high budget of around 570 crores and it was one of the most costliest films made in India. While Rajinikanth was seen in three different roles, as Vaseegaran, Chitti and Kutti (microbot), Bollywood star Akshay Kumar played the opponent of Rajinikanth as Pakshi Rajan. Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and others formed the supporting cast. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film had music scored by AR Rahman, cinematography handled by Nirav Shah, and editing by Anthony.

This sci-fi thriller was released in 3D format and it gave an unique movie watching experience for the fans. The film had a very noble message about the current technological addiction and the adverse effects of it and it also created an awareness among the people. A lot of time and money was invested in the computer graphics and VFX works and the work was evident when the audience witnessed the film in the theatres. Be it the flying of mobile phones or Pakshi Rajan's formation as a bird like figure, the film had some exciting visuals, thanks to the VFX department. One can definitely not forget the climax fight sequence (in the stadium) which involved the complete support of computer graphics, animation and VFX.

The visual effects supervision was done by Srinivas Mohan who is an ace talent in the industry. The acclaimed VFX supervisor recently released the VFX breakdown video of 2.0 on his official YouTube channel and the video has now been garnering attention among the film buffs. Srinivas has shared the VFX portions done by the company, Dneg. A lot of VFX companies worked together for various portions in the film. This newly released VFX breakdown video is receiving highly positive comments and it shows the amount of work that has gone into the making of the film.

This video will definitely give an insight for the audience on how the film was made and how the VFX shots were conceived. Masakali 2.0, the recently released music video featured Marjaavaan co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria as lead stars and the duo is back romancing each other in Tanishk Bagchi’s recreated version of Masakali. The hit track Masakali from Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s Delhi 6 which was originally composed by the Indian legend AR Rahman and original lyrics by Prasoon Joshi.  The song received some criticism as even AR Rahman took a dig at the remix.

Talking about shooting for the music video, Sidharth Malhotra said, "Masakali is an indoor song, which has more relevance today because all of us are staying in and staying safe, given the current situation. That time, we unintentionally made a song on the same situation where two people are trying to stay indoors and had fun, did masti. That was the feeling on the set. I'm looking forward to it."
