Gautam Menon is back with another compelling and engaging drama. The director who has a very impeccable talent of writing and superb screenplay. Mr Menon’s films speak volumes of intensity in the characters and very close to reality. He is back with another such powerful action entertainer – Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo starring Naga Chaitanya and Malayalam beauty Manjima Mohan. A R Rahman’s music for the film has already been ruling the chartbusters.
The plot of the story is well defined by the title of the film - Sahasam Swaasaga Saagipo. With the lead actors you also travel with them in their journey and tensions bravely and adventurously. Rajnikanth (Naga Chaitanya) is a happy-go-lucky youngster enjoying life with his friends and who’s first love is his RE - Royal Enfield. One day he meets his sister Mitra’s friend Leela (Manjima Mohan) and is head over heels over her.
Leela comes to stay with them for a month to finish her course. He is more than happy as he gets to spend some beautiful moments with her. He shares his dream of going on a bike ride to Kanyakumari and see the sun rise. To his sudden surprise Leela joins him in the last minute and they are off on an adventurous trip. Things take a 360 degree turn when they are hit by a lorry.
After recovery he discovers that Leela is in a bigger trouble and it was not an accident but a planned attempt to murder. The story picks pace from there and every ten minutes you are thrilled. How Leela and Rajnikanth get out of this mishap and solve the riddle forms the rest of the story.
Naga Chaitanya impresses with his guts and bravery. He carries the body language of a carefree youth facing sudden unruly incidents in a confident way perfectly. Manjima has a strong screen presence and plays her role beautifully. ARR’s music doesn’t require special mention.
The music and background score pour life into the film. Gautam Menon’s screenplay is very fast pacing and keeps the viewers on toe all the time.
Overall Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo is a racy adventurous film with brilliant performances.
