There isn't a girl who doesn't swoon over Madhavan, who is celebrating his 49th birthday today. Many a heroes come and go, but Madhavan will always remain the chocolate boy of Tamil cinema, since the day he debuted in Mani Ratnam's Alai Payuthey in the year 2000.

The 49 years old actor has been a heartthrob for the girls and women of various generations and has never shied away from the female attention he gets. Madhavan was last seen, playing a cop, Vikram in Pushkar and Gayatri's film, Vikram Veda. He also won the Filmfare critics award for the best actor- South for the same.

Madhavan's next film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will soon hit the screens this year, 2019. The actor himself will direct the film, which will be releasing in 3 languages, Hindi, Tamil and English. the movie is a biographical drama based on a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, Nambi Narayanan. The Tamil version of the movie is titled as Rocketry: Nambi Vilaivu.
