It's the most expected event of the year for cinema fans. Today Samantha and Naga Chaithanya unite in holy matrimony and the whole cinedom is excited about it more than ever. The ceremony is happening at W Goa hotel in Bardez, Goa. We have some exclusive information about the details that went into Sam-Chay's wedding ceremony and all that follows the ceremony! Read on and imerse yourself in the dream that is their wedding..

Their love story had its roots in the filming of 'Ye maaya chesaave', a few years back, though the pair was just friends back then. Their on screen chemistry was mind blowing and had us all rooting for the two to get together in real life. The movie had Sam and Chay belonging to different communities, and the same is the case in real life too.. Which is why the couple has two wedding ceremonies planned, one for each belief. The Hindu ceremony will happen today, October 6, and the couple's 'Mehendi' ceremony will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm and they will tie the knot at the auspicious time of 11.52 pm. The Christian ceremony will happen tomorrow between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm.

To lead a meaningful life ahead, the groom's father Nagarjuna Akkineni insisted that the couple know what they are entering into. So, there will be a detailed explanation of every Sanskrit Shloka that the priest recites in the Hindu marriage with special emphasis on 'Saptapadi,' a ritual in which the couple take seven steps and vows in presence of holy fire. This will be something new for the couple since we hope that the couple would duly feel enlightened at the end of the ceremony and know of all the promises that they make to each other, life long...

Tradition and custom play a vital role in this beautiful ceremony as Samantha would be donning a beautiful traditional Saree that once belonged to Naga Chaitanya's grandmother D Rajeshwari with gold ornaments, including a specially designed waistband and armbands and Chay will be seen in a traditional silk dhoti for the Hindu wedding. However the Christian wedding will have Sam sporting a gown designed by Kreshna Bajaj, while the groom will don a three-piece suit.

The couple have decided to keep it all closed. Though there is much hype around the wedding, it will not see any media glare, and will be kept low key. The ceremony has only about a 100 guests, with just the Akkinenis, the Daggubatis and Samantha's close relatives and the couple's few mutual friends like Ram Charan Teja, Chinmayi making the guest list. With just a few guests, and a grand venue, the expenses for the wedding are said to be around 10 crores.

However, to make it up for the low key wedding, the couple have decided to host a grand reception that will see the biggies of the film industry attending it. It will also be attended by politicians and businessmen across the country. However, the date of the reception is yet to be announced.

Post wedding, the couple have no immediate plans for honeymoon. They both have unfinished movies that they have to complete before taking on a vacation. However it is reported that a lengthy honeymoon has been planned around Christmas and that the couple would be visiting the US for the same. Looks like they're up to recreate the magic of Ye maaya chesaave in real life too..

From Team Galatta, we wish the couple a very bountiful married life filled with Joy and Happiness..
