Director and actor Prabhu Deva was last seen in director Sakthi Chidambaram's Charlie Chaplin 2. His next theatrical release in Tamil would be Devi 2, directed by Vijay and produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh. The film's teaser had released last month which got some good response on social media and from the teaser it looked like the film will continue from where it left.

Prabhu Deva plays the character of Krishna, while Tamannaah will be seen as Ruby. Kovai Sarala and Nandita Swetha have been roped in to play important roles. The film was earlier supposed to release on the 1st of May, but was eventually postponed to a later date. The film will now hit the screens on May 31 along with Suriya's NGK. Devi 2's theatrical trailer has now been released on YouTube through Muzik 24*7 official channel, who owns the audio rights of the film.

Talking about the trailer, it has some spooky moments that supplement the horror genre, alongside few jump scares. The comedy relief provided by Kovai Sarala might entertain the commercial audience. It looks like the film will have some trademark touches of Devi.

This film might give the breakthrough for PD. As for Tamanaah, her last release in Tamil was Kanne Kalaimaane, where she paired opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin. The film has been censored with a clean U certificate. Check out the trailer here:
