One of the busiest stars in Tamil cinema at present, Suriya has a line of films he’s attached to among which his action political drama, NGK, under Selvaraghavan’s direction has been announced to hit screens on May 31 followed by his action thriller, Kaappaan, under KV Anand’s direction set for release on August 30.

Furthermore, it was only a few days back when Suriya kicked off his next film, Soorarai Pottru, a biopic based on the life of G. R. Gopinath, the founder of the airline, Air Deccan, under the 2D Entertainment banner with Irudhi Suttru fame Sudha Kongara helming the project.

That said, we had earlier today (April 22) revealed that Suriya’s next film, Suriya 39, would see the star join hands with hit director Siva of the recent blockbuster, Viswasam, and this time under the Studio Green banner with music by D. Imman and will also likely include Ruben taking care of the editing and Vetri handling the cinematography.

Meanwhile, Studio Green has now announced that Suriya 39 is indeed a go with director Siva on board the project touted to be a rural action entertainer. Check out the official statement below:
