One of the most successful films of 2018, Ratsasan, starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles with music by Ghibran under Ramkumar’s direction was both a commercial and critical hit.

After the psychological thriller film became a blockbuster in Tamil, it was revealed there would be multiple Ratsasan remakes with the Telugu edition now officially launched at Hyderabad today (21.02.2019).

The Telugu Ratsasan remake titled for now as Production No. 1 will be directed by Ramesh Varma and will be produced by actor Havish Lakshman Koneru with Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas cast in Vishnu Vishal’s role.

Furthermore, there are speculations that up-and-coming actress Raashi Khanna, who is making waves in south India, is being eyed to play the female lead with Ghibran retained to score music for the Ratsasan remake.

Filming is set to begin soon with the team planning to wrap up the complete production and release the film during the second half of this year.
