Remember the title of latest Manchu Manoj starrer was changed from Mr. Nokia to Mr. Nookayya, following a complaint from leading mobile company Nokia for using the registered trademark of the company?

In the latest development, the screening of the film was halted at several multiplexes around the state after the cell phone company sent a notice to the theatres not to screen the film.

According to reports, Nokia Corporation and Nokia India Pvt Ltd had brought legal notice from the Delhi High Court on February 6 for using the company's registered trademark and the court barred the makers from using the title Nokia and having an identical or deceptively similar title. Despite getting restraining order, the makers kept Mr. Nookayya, making the cell phone company to approach the court again to stop the film's screening.

Sharing his anguish, Manchu Manoj tweeted, "Good morning guys :) Nokia company is trying to stop our movie in all multiplexes :(( they r claiming Nookaiah and Nokia is same....” The actor claimed that Mr. Nookayya is the name of a God.
