Magadheera villain in Vijay’s Sura

Various actors from Bollywood and Tollywood are debuting in Kollywood specifically for negative characters is the new trend these days. The recent release of Suriya’s Aadhavan had Bollywood’s reigning actor Rahul Dev as the baddie while Vijay's upcoming Vettaikaran has Salim Ghosh enacting the negative role.

The latest buzz is that Dev Gill, who shot to fame with his mind-boggling performance in Telugu flick Magadheera, will be the villain in Ilayathalapathi Vijay's 50th Tamil film Sura, being directed by S.P. Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan.

In Magadheera, model-turned-actor Dev Gill performed the dual roles of Senadhipathi Randhev and the reincarnated Raghuveer. Rumoured to be a remake of Malayalam super star Mohanlal's Chota Mumbai (2007) directed by Anwar Rasheed, Sura has already started rolling. Tamannaah is the heroine.
