Acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Anjali Menon, best known for her films like Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days, and Koode, is making a big comeback after nearly four years with Wonder Women, which has been shot in English and will premiere directly on the SonyLIV OTT platform on November 18. The upcoming venture stars Nithya Menen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Nadiya Moidu, Padmapriya, Sayanora Phillip, Archana Padmini, and Amruta Subhash, and has generated quite a lot of buzz over the past few days after the stars of the film left many confused with their Instagram posts hinting their pregnancies. Billed to be "a tale of pregnant women", the much-awaited trailer for Wonder Women has now been released and gives us the first glimpse of the interesting backdrop the film's story is set in.

The Wonder Women trailer starts off by introducing a few pregnant women coming together to embrace motherhood and going forward in their journey together. We see Nithya Menen, Parvathy, Padmapriya, Sayanora Phillip, Archana Padmini, and Amruta Subhash as pregnant women from different backgrounds and ethnicities at a camp called Sumana, which is run by Nadiya. The camp helps pregnant women with their lives ahead and the film's trailer gives us an overall heartwarming vibe as each of the characters is shown preparing for parenthood, while also dealing with their own issues and differences.

Wonder Women marks the big comeback of director Anjali Menon after nearly four years when she made Koode in 2018. Apart from the big star cast, the film has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua Sara under their RSVP and Flying Unicorn Entertainment banners and also includes a talented technical team featuring the likes of composer Govind Vasantha, followed by Manesh Madhavan and Praveen Prabhakar for the cinematography and editing, respectively. Wonder Women has also created a lot of buzz among Tamil cinema fans as well as it marks Nithya Menen's next big outing after the blockbuster Thiruchitrambalam released earlier this year, while Parvathy too has been a heart-throb after the hit Maryan in 2013.
