Leading South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan is celebrating her birthday today (May 4) and wishes are pouring in for the star, who has been reigning at the top of the Tamil and Telugu film industry for two decades. All set to be seen in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's epic historical fiction magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: I, the star actress will also be making her digital debut in the upcoming Telugu web series titled Brinda, which has her playing the role of a top-ranking police official. Launched last October, the series will also be getting dubbed in Tamil and other languages, with the team on Wednesday releasing a promo on the occasion of Trisha's birthday.

The Brinda promo gives us our first glimpse at Trisha as a cop, including behind-the-scenes action from the shooting spot where the actress is seen delivering her lines in her role. Currently, in its post-production stages, the web series has been directed by Surya Vangala and produced by Avinash Kolla and Ashish Kolla. Brinda's technical team includes names like cinematographer Dinesh K. Babu and music director Shakthi Kanth Karthick. As of now, the details surrounding the rest of the Brinda are yet to be revealed and Trisha playing the role of a police officer for the first time in her career will no doubt be the biggest USP and highlight for fans.
Apart from Brinda, Trisha also has in her kitty films like Raangi, Garjanai, Sathuranga Vettai 2, Ram in Malayalam, and Dvitva in Kannada, which are in different stages of production. Her Ponniyin Selvan: I is one of the biggest films of the year and will see her sharing screen space with 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, with the music composed by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman and will open in theatres worldwide on September 30.
