Actress Sridevi, daughter of noted Tamil actors Vijayakumar and Manjula, is getting married to Rahul, a Hyderabad-based software business entrepreneur, on June 18 (Thursday) in Chennai. Rahul's home town is Nizamabad. The betrothal function took place in March at Chennai. The actress is likely to stay away from films after marriage.
Sridevi started her career as a child artist and made her debut as heroine with director Kathir’s Kadhal Virus in 2002. She later shifted to Telugu and made it big there. She was critically acclaimed for her performance in AVM's Priyamana Thozhi with Madhavan.
Her other noted films are Eshwar, Devathayai Kanden, Thithikuthey, Manjeera and Devathai Kanden. Despite being beautiful and talented, Sridevi could not rise to become a top line heroine. Sridevi has two sisters Preetha and Vanitha, and one brother Arun Kumar.
