Talking about Salaar, Shruti said, "I really love Prashanth sir's work. I liked his KGF films a lot. Not only for the entertainment factor, but the world that he had created, I liked that a lot. It was very immersive and almost like playing a virtual reality video game. When he approached me, I was already excited because I had not worked with Prabhas also till then. And then, when I heard the script, I really liked the whole movie story and my character like how she is and what she is to the story. Finally, when I started working with them... we began in 2020, actually... So, it's many years now. I can say that they're really wonderful people. I felt really nice working with them. (Almost) like working with a family."
