Tamil-Telugu actor Karthi's upcoming bilingual Sakuni, a political thriller by Sankar Dayal, has got a clean 'U' certificate without any cuts. Both Tamil and Telugu versions are now set for release on June 22. (Tamil title is Saguni.)
Karthi plays a street-smart rookie named Kamal, who, through his crooked yet intelligent moves, becomes the Chief Minister of a state. The film also has Praneetha, Santhanam, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nasser, Roja and glam queen Mumtaz in prominent roles.
Interestingly, Saguni is Karthi's first political entertainer and is touted to be a complete action flick. The film is produced by Dream Warriors and music director G.V. Prakash is the music director. P.C. Muthiah is the cinematographer while the multiple National Award winner Sreekaran Prasad is the editor.
