Shriya to perform at IPL inaugural ceremony
South Indian heart throb Shriya Saran will be performing at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2011 in Chennai today (Friday). According to reports, she will dance to the tunes of some Tamil tracks with Shahrukh Khan.
Confirming the performance, Shriya said, "Yes, I'm performing at the inaugural ceremony. I cannot share details at the moment as there should be an element of surprise for the audience." The opening ceremony of IPL Season 4 is scheduled to begin at 3.30 p.m.
The actress was shooting in Sri Lanka for Deepa Mehta's Winds of Change and has taken 36 hours leave from the sets for the IPL inaugural ceremony. She will be leaving immediately after the match back to Sri Lanka, as she has an early morning shoot on Saturday.
