J. Bhagavan and Pulla Rao, producers of Young Rebel Star Prabhas' latest film Rebel, filed a complaint against the film's director Raghava Lawrence at Producers Council, alleging that the director escalated the budget from Rs. 22.5 crores to Rs. 40 crores.
He had reportedly promised the producers to complete the film within Rs. 22.5 crore, but the budget went over Rs. 40 crore.
In his counter attack, the director also filed a complaint that the producers have sold the remake and dubbing rights of Rebel without his consent. He said that they promised to give him those rights, but didn't bother to tell him while selling them. The Producers Council and Director’s Association will soon make a probe into the issues.
