South Indian superstar Keerthy Suresh hit the high note last year after she won the National Award for Best Actress for her intense and power-packer performance in the Savitri biopic, Mahanati, in Telugu, which was dubbed in Tamil as well as Nadigaiyar Thilagam. Post the accolades for Mahanati, offers from Telugu cinema started pouring Keerthy Suresh's way with the popular actress soon going to sign on the dotted line for projects namely Miss India, Rang De and Good Luck Sakhi while also landing major roles in Mohanlal's ambitious epic historical period film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, in Malayalam, 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 168 and Karthik Subbaraj's production venture titled Penguin, in Tamil.

Among the list of films, Keerthy Suresh's first release of 2020 will be Miss India, which has her in the lead role and has been directed by Narendra Nath under producer Mahesh S Koneru's East Coast Productions banner and features music by S. Thaman. Announced for its USA premiere on March 5, promotions for Miss India have now kicked off with the makers releasing the first single track titled 'Kotthaga Kotthaga', sung by Shreya Ghoshal  and Thaman. S to the lyrics penned by Kalyan Chakravarthi.

Expectations for Miss India skyrocketed after a short teaser was released last year and presented to us the first visuals of Keerthy Suresh in complete swag mode. Miss India includes a talented supporting cast featuring names like Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Bhanushree Mehra, Sumanth S, Poojitha Ponnada, Kamal Kamaraju and Nadhiya with cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Vamsi P, editing by Tammiraju and art direction by Sahi Suresh.
