One of the most controversial personalities of Kollywood, is producer and actor K Rajan. He has often given controversial statements about Kollywood personalities and created sensationalism. There have been various conspiracy theories going around about why there were Income Tax raids on Thalapathy Vijay, Bigil's producers and a number of other people associated with the movie. Now, in an exclusive interview to Galatta Media, Rajan has stated that Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil producers - AGS Entertainment, lied about the movie's business and inflated the profits. He cited this as the reason behind the Income Tax Department raids on all those associated with Bigil.

Bigil producers lied about profits says K Rajan

Explaining his point, Rajan said, "The actual business of a movie can be gauged by reports from distributors only. If they claim to have suffered losses, then it is real. It was only when AGS Entertainments reported that Bigil had made a business of Rs. 300 Crores, did the Income Tax raids happen. I would not blame the IT department for raiding AGS Entertainments properties or financier Anbu Chezhiyan's house. It is the arrogance of AGS Entertainments, who stated that they had made a profit of Rs. 300 Crores from Bigil, which invited the IT Dept. to investigate their records." He added that some producers give out false numbers of business, to still continue getting the stars' dates for their subsequent projects!
