After a disappointing start to 2019 with lukewarm response for his Mr. Local with director Rajesh, Sivakarthikeyan struck gold with his second release - Namma Veettu Pillai, with director Pandiraj. This rural family drama, funded by Sun Pictures, resonated well with the audiences and made it big at the Box Office. Prince Sivakarthikeyan is a busy man and is currently working on quite a few projects, including Hero, Doctor and an as-yet-untitled project with director Ravikumar. Sivakarthikeyan's Hero has completed shoot and is expected to hit the screens on December 20th! AP International acquires overseas rights of Sivakarthikeyan Hero

The leading banner - AP International has now revealed through a latest Twitter post that they have acquired the overseas rights of Sivakarthikeyan's Hero. This is PS Mithran's second directorial, after the super hit Irumbu Thirai and this movie's antagonist Action King Arjun is playing a vital role in Hero too. Bollywood star Abhay Deol is also debuting in Kollywood, through this movie, which has Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead and will also see Ivana in an important role. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for Hero, which has George C Williams handling the camera and Ruben on the edit table.

There are a lot of expectations on Hero and the movie's teaser has also generated a lot of hype for the film. The uniquely titled 'Malto Kithapuleh' single from this movie was well received among the youth. This movie's shoot was wrapped up towards the end of November and post production is on, in full swing. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan has begun work on his next movie Doctor, with his long time friend and mentor - Kolamaavu Kokila director Nelson Dhilipkumar. Doctor is being jointly produced by SK Productions and KJR Studios.
