The dusky diva Aishwarya Rajesh has proven herself to be an able performer and has been delivering one power-packed performance after the other. She is one of the most sought after actresses in recent times and if there is a role of substance that needs a powerful performer, Aishwarya is the go-to person for it. She has quite a number of movies in hand and one of those is the suspense thriller Mei, directed by debutante SA Baskaran. This movie, bankrolled by Sundaram Productions and Wide Angle Creations, will see Indo-American actor Nicky Sundaram playing the lead, alongside Aishwarya Rajesh with Kishore, Charle, Ajay Ghosh and Vinod Krishnan in important supporting roles.
This movie's official trailer was released just a couple of days back on Independence Day and the makers have now released a sneak peek from the movie. This intense video has Charle and Aishwarya Rajesh in a Police Station, enquiring about a supposedly lost girl, who is Charle's daughter. The rather arrogant Police officer replies rudely and even threatens to arrest Aishwarya under the suspicion of being a drug dealer. An intense Aishwarya is seen responding with nerves of steel and challenging the Police that she will not allow this matter to rest.
Set to hit the screens on August 23rd, Mei has music by Anil and Prithvi Kumar with VN Mohan handling the cinematography and Preethi Mohan taking care of the editing. This movie is said to revolve around a series of crimes happening in the medical industry, with Nicky appearing as a medical representative. The premise sure does seem interesting...
