For all the answers and to know what happens next, watch Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in the theatres...

The very first thing that makes the viewer sit up and take notice in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is the grandeur and the massive canvas on which it has been made. Director Surender Reddy seems to have been given a free hand by producer Ram Charan and it has all been put to good use. A historic movie with war sequences definitely needs to be elaborately designed and that has been done rather well in this movie. The complete setting, including the costumes and art work, literally transform us to the era the movie has been set in. The story of a freedom fighter emerging from the people and stirring them all up to take arms against the invading British is something which has already been seen in many films but what sets this movie apart is Chiranjeevi.

The Megastar has lived the character of Narasimha Reddy and has breathed life into every frame he is in. His overall performance is terrific and he literally carries the entire movie on his shoulders. Tamannaah has given a wonderful performance and this movie is sure to go down as one of her best ever. In a specific, emotional dance sequence, Tamannaah steals the show. Despite not having much screen-space, Nayanthara and Tamannaah score totally in whatever they have been given. Kichcha Sudeep needs a special mention for his portrayal of Avuku Raju as does Vijay Sethupathi. Rathnavelu's cinematography is a huge plus for the movie and especially the mass crowd and fight sequences have been beautifully shot. Jukius Packiam's BGM has helped the flow of the movie. Amit Trivedi's songs have already become a huge hit and the first song and its picturisation are really good.

The screenplay seems to lag at places and this slows down the movie. The duration of the movie is also something that needs to be looked into and some trimming would help shore up the pace of the movie. The first half takes some time to get going but the pre-interval sequence keeps the viewers rivetted to their seats. The pre-climax and climax sequences have been very well done and Chiranjeevi stamps his class as an actor in these. The VFX is very good in many places but patchy in a few. Also, Chiru's physique seems to vary at different points of the movie and seems a bit inconsistent. The dialogues and action sequences have been well done and get the crowd going. Cameos by Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Shetty add to the movie's value but seem too brief to make an actual impact, especially considering the caliber of these actors. Interestingly, some of the sequences of Sye Raa actually remind the viewers of Baahubali.

Verdict: A well-made periodical action drama which would definitely appeal to all Chiranjeevi fans!
