4. Rajinikanth made his debut in Tamil cinema as a cancer patient in K. Balachander's Apoorva Raagangal in 1975.
5. Most of Rajni's initial films were double-hero ventures. His roles were either as a villain or as a supporting actor, with Kamal Haasan co-starring frequently as the protagonist.

Vasu's Chandramukhi (2005), remake of Fazil's Malayalam film Manichitra Thazhu. 15. Rajni's first Kannada film was Katha Sangama directed by Puttanna Kanagal. He made his Tollywood debut through Anthuleni Katha, directed by K. Balachander. Rajni has also acted in several Bollywood flicks, including Andha Kanoon, Chaalbaaz, Uttar Dakshin, Giraftaar and Hum. Apart from acting in many other Indian languages, he also appeared in a Hollywood film, Bloodstone.
