The day started on an unfortunate note when we heard about the unexpected demise of legendary filmmaker Girish Karnad. In an even more saddening manner, it has now come to our notice that the highly celebrated comedy writer Crazy Mohan has passed away. It is said that Crazy Mohan was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai after encountering a massive heart attack. According to reports, Crazy Mohan was declared to be dead at 2 PM after failing to respond to the medical treatments. This news has completely taken everyone by deep shock as it is indeed an irreplaceable loss. Crazy Mohan was 66, when he breathed his last. 

Until then, let us not spread false rumours. The social media has already started to pray for his recovery through his posts. Crazy Mohan is much loved among the audience and he owns a great fanbase for his witty dialogues and one-liners that have turned out to be classics. He is widely known for his close associations with Kamal Haasan in films like Apoorva Sagotharargal, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Magalir Mattum, Sathi Leelavathi, Avvai Shanmugi, Kaathala Kaathala, Panchathanthiram, Pammal K Sammandham. His first film as a dialogue writer was Poikkal Kuthirai, directed by K.Balachander. 

Crazy Mohan is also known for his stage plays which are regularly staged at Naradha Gana Sabha and other places. Some of his notable theatre plays include Chocolate Krishna, Maadhu +2, Jurassic Baby, Madhil Mel Maadhu, to name a few. Crazy Mohan will be dearly missed and at this juncture, Galatta sends its deepest condolences to his family and prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
