We had reported yesterday that Bhaagamathie releasing today is in no way similar to Anushka Shetty’s previous films, the Baahubali franchise and Arundhati.

Both roles established Anushka Shetty’s name across the nation as a talent powerhouse and the expectations for Bhaagamathie as expected are paramount especially after her performance in last year’s blockbuster, Baahubali 2.

Directed by G. Ashok and jointly produced by UV Creations, Abi & Abi Pictures and Studio Green banners with music by S. Thaman, Bhaagamathie has a talented ensemble cast featuring names like Jayaram, Unni Mukundan, Asha Sarath, Thalaivasal Vijay among others in vital supporting roles.

With the film finally hitting screens today, there has been quite a lot of curiosity on what the plot could be.

A horror thriller, Anushka Shetty plays a strong-willed IAS officer in Bhaagamathie and the film’s director G. Ashok has revealed that the first half of the film will have audiences taking a crouching posture in their seats while the second half will prove to have several edge-of-the-seat moments.
