All set to kick-off 2019 in a grand manner is the Pongal release, Viswasam, starring ‘Thala’ Ajith under Siva’s direction produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. With D. Imman’s songs turning out to be a massive hit, the rural entertainer includes a massive cast featuring the likes of Nayanthara as the female lead, Vivek, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, Bose Venkat, Ramesh Thilak and Jagapati Babu, whose role is being kept under wraps.
With the film’s teaser/trailer expected to arrive anytime soon, there are now reports stating the online streaming rights for Viswasam have been acquired by Amazon Prime with the deal said to be for a record price for a Tamil film till date.
One of the most anticipated films in recent times, Viswasam marks the fourth consecutive occasion Ajith and director Siva are collaborating together after their previous Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. The upcoming rural entertainer is also the fourth partnership for Nayanthara with the superstar after their Billa, Aegan and Arrambam.
