Filmmaker Gautham Menon is at present busy with his Enai Noki Paayum Thota with Dhanush and Megha Akash.
He is also working on Dhruva Natchathiram with ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram.
In the midst of his directorial commitments, Gautham Menon is also producing a Tamil film titled Pon Ondru Kandein under his Ondraga Entertainment banner.
Pon Ondru Kandein has been revealed to be an official remake of the smash Telugu hit Pelli Choopulu, which starred Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma in lead roles.
The Tamil remake was announced to feature actors Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah to be directed by Senthil Veerasaamy under Gautham Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment with music by Darbuka Siva.
Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal today took to his Twitter page to announce he is opting out of Pon Ondru Kandein owing to scheduling conflicts.

He further added he will now be concentrating on his project with director Ezhil under Dusshyanth’s Ehsan banner for which the title will be revealed soon. It must be noted that Vishnu Vishal and Ezhil had previously teamed up for last year’s Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, which had a good run at the box office.
An official announcement on Vishnu Vishal’s replacement can be expected to be made soon by Gautham Menon.
