Vishal's Irumbu Thirai has been making news by the interesting teasers and promos they have been releasing and the poster made everyone talk more about the movie.

It is a known fact that Vishal is playing an Army officer and the director PS Mithran had earlier revealed that he made Vishal's character as an Army officer as he had written it for a new face and not for Vishal. Vishal wanted to play the villain when the story was narrated to him for producing it, and the director convinced him to play the hero.

The name of the character has been now revealed as Major R Kathiravan.
