As reported earlier, just hours ago the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) announced that no film in Tamil or any other languages will be released from September 4 with regards to the blocking of the release of Paayum Puli. The reason being that the Rohini Theatres owner Paneer Selvam from Chengalpet, demanded a huge sum of money from the film's producer to make the financial settlements of their previous release Lingaa.

Though the sudden strike stunned the entire Kollywood industry, within hours after the announcmenent, the hero of the film Vishal officially confirmed that the issues had been sorted out and that the film would be released worldwide in both Tamil and Telugu languages as per the schedule, on September 4th. The actor took to his official Twitter handle to announce the news, and wrote: "Yes #PaayumPuli wil release as per schedule on Sep 4th worldwide both languages. Hard work will always pay off. God bless."

The action flick Paayum Puli directed by Suseendhiran, starring Vishal Krishna, Kajal Aggarwal, Samuthirakani, Soori and Harish Uthaman in prominent roles, is a Vendhar Movies production.
