Director Gautham Menon has on several occasions labeled his Dhruva Natchathiram starring 'Chiyaan' Vikram to be his dream project and most ambitious effort till date.

Jointly produced under the Ondraga Entertainment, Escape Artists Motion Pictures and Kondaduvom Entertainment banners with music by Harris Jayaraj, the film kicked-off production in early 2017.

Meanwhile, a big attraction in Dhruva Natchathiram apart from Vikram is the additional casting with the latest being Malayalam actor Vinayakan announced to be playing the prime antagonist.

Fans will know Vinayakan for playing villain roles in the Vishal starrer Thimiru as well as in Dhanush’s Maryan, which happens to be his most memorable Tamil film till date.

Up until now, it was believed Parthiepan was cast as the villain, but it now looks like he could most likely be the "Mr. K" character referred extensively in the first teaser of the film. Although not confirmed, it is the closest we can bet on the actor turned director’s role in the film.

As for the rest of the cast, actress Ritu Varma is said to be playing Vikram’s love interest.

Actress Aishwarya Rajesh will be appearing as a journalist and we expect her to be lending major support to 'Chiyaan' in the film.

Furthermore, actresses Raadhika Sarathkumar, Simran and Dhivyadharshini too have big roles in the action spy thriller film.
