Filming is underway in Karaikudi for Vikram's Saamy Square, the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster, Saamy. The action entertainer being directed by Hari under the Thameens Films banner has Keerthy Suresh as the heroine followed by Bobby Simha, Prabhu, Soori, OAK Sundar, and John Vijay in supporting roles with music by Devi Sri Prasad.

Meanwhile, few banners that were being used as a plot point have made their way online shedding light on some of the characters and the film. Yesterday, we showed you how Bobby Simhaa as Ravana Pichai is depicted as the son of Kota Srinivasa Rao's character, Perumal Pichai (the villain in Saamy).

Now, a new banner being used in the film is doing the rounds online suggesting Kota Srinivasa Rao has two more sons - OAK Sundar as Mahendra Pichai and John Vijay as Devendra Pichai. The banner drops hints on their involvement in the political arena and also gives us the biggest hint possible about the film - that being, Saamy Square is set 29 years in the future since the events of Saamy in 2003.

From this alone, we can pretty much arrive at a conclusion that 'Chiyaan' Vikram is indeed playing dual roles - that of a father (DCP Aarusamy in Saamy) and son in Saamy 2.
