Ever since he gave us Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijan in the same year, ace film writer Vijayendra Prasad has been creating news every time he picks up his pen. Now, sources are whispering his name in connection with an upcoming mythological epic in Malayalam. If this project materialises, this will be Vijayendra Prasad's debut in Mollywood, an industry known for its script-friendly movies rather than mass-appeal films. Vijeesh Mani is going to be the director of the film. The actors and rest of the crew are yet to be finalised.

Malayalam movies do have a penchant for bollywood music artists. Artists like Shailendra Kumar, Adnan Sami and Lucky Ali have made music for malayalam movies. While there are some true winners like director Vijaya Nirmala (Telugu artist who made Malayalam movie Kavitha), or director Noushad (who made Dhwani), not a lot of non-Malayalees make attempts in Mollywood. Vijayendra Prasad's nephew MM Keeravani had memorably worked for the malayalam movie Devaragam back in the year 1996. Not that he may need it, but maybe he has some tips for his uncle on how to get the Mollywood audience to eat off his palm. Recently, there were also rumours that Vijayendra Prasad, who along with Atlee and Ramana Srinivasan had co-written the action thriller Mersal, had pitched another story to Vijay. There are even talk about a big-budget film in Hindi about the early years of RSS. Other than Baahubali 1, 2 and Bajrangi Bhaijan, some of his noted hits are Samarasimha Reddy, Yamadonga, Magadheera, and Manikarnika.
