Following the impasse in the release of Ilayathalapathi Vijay's Thalaivaa, the movie is scheduled to hit screens on August 20! Vijay has thanked the CM Ms. J. Jayalalitha for helping the movie see the light of day. In a press release, he has stated that Thalaivaa, which was set for release on August 9, had been delayed because of some threats, and this had been a major cause of worry for everybody, including him, the producers, distributors, theatre owners and his fans. As a fitting response to many false stories circulating in the media, our TN CM herself has interfered in this issue and taken steps to ensure Thalaivaa gets released. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the CM for taking time out from her busy schedule, and helping in this issue.
