Vijay fans have been an ecstatic lot for a while now after the superstar’s next film title was revealed to be as Bigil along with the release of three posters, which went on to trend virally across social networking forums. With the excitement for Bigil sky-high since production began earlier this year, fans have also  been mighty happy after it was announced that director Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame and the upcoming Kaithi would be directing Vijay next in Thalapathy 64. In the midst of this, there have been reports of late stating actor Arjun is being eyed by the makers of the project to play the antagonist. Sources close to us on the other hand have now denied that Arjun is a part of Thalapathy 64 while adding that scripting work is yet to be completed.

Thalapathy 64 already has massive expectations after it was revealed that composer Anirudh Ravichander would be scoring the music. Although not much is known about the project for now, it is believed it is going to be an intense and gritty action gangster drama with plans to get it out in theatres as an April or May 2020 release. To be produced Vijay’s relative, Xavier Britto, who had earlier produced ventures namely Senthoora Pandi and Rasigan during the early 1990s, Thalapathy 64 will include cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Philomin Raj.
