With production on Thalapathy 63 going at a steady pace, we here at Galatta have been constantly providing updates regarding Thalapathy 64 after director Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame narrating a story to Vijay, which left the superstar mighty impressed.
Furthermore, we had revealed that composer Anirudh Ravichander is the frontrunner to score the music making it the second occasion he will be working in a after Kaththi went on to become a blockbuster in 2014.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of late stating Telugu sensation Rashmika Mandanna is being eyed to play the female lead in Thalapathy 64. That said, sources in the film’s unit have outright issued a denial saying there is no truth to the rumors about the actress coming on board the developing project.
Thalapathy 64 is being planned as a quickie under Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction with a shooting schedule planned for 50 days in light of plans to get the film released sometime in April or May 2020.
