With a star power unlike any in recent times, 'Thalapathy' Vijay is indeed without a shadow of a doubt is one of the most bankable stars in the Tamil film industry.

Although Vijay has been working in Thalapathy 62 under A. R. Murugadoss’s direction with Keerthy Suresh as the female lead featuring A. R. Rahman’s music and Sun Pictures producing the film, there has been some debate for a while now on his plans for his next, which fans have already christened as Thalapathy 63.

Initially, there was talk that Vijay could possibly collaborate with director Mohan Raja of Thani Oruvan and Velaikkaran fame, whom he had worked previously in Velayudham, which turned out to be a smash success.

Then, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru director H. Vinoth’s name was in the fray to direct 'Thalapathy' for Vijay 63.

Furthermore, National Award-winning filmmaker and the upcoming Vada Chennai chief Vetrimaaran’s name too had popped up to direct Vijay, which was later denied as mere rumors.

A third-time association with his Theri and Mersal director Atlee too is also being said to be a likelihood considering the director announced his next would be in Tamil at the recently conducted Galatta Nakshatra Awards.

Meanwhile, there are now reports stating director Hari expressing his interest recently to work with Vijay soon.

Apparently, the Saamy Square director had also hinted he would next be working with Suriya for a non-Singam film.
