One of the hottest stars in the Tamil film industry, ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi is perhaps the busiest and has a handful of films namely Seethakaathi releasing on December 20, Super Deluxe, Petta with Rajinikanth for Pongal 2019, the long-delayed Idam Porul Yaeval, a film with Sketch director Vijay Chander, Maamanithan with Seenu Ramasamy, Kadaisi Vivasayi with Kaaka Muttai fame Manikandan, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu to name a few projects.

That said, Vijay Sethupathi has now signed up for his next to be directed by none other than four-time National Award-winner Cheran. It must be noted the filmmaker turned actor’s last directorial venture was JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai in 2015 and it will be interesting to see what he has packaged for his comeback with the ‘Makkal Selvan’. An official announcement on the project is expected to made soon along with details on the rest of the cast and crew.
