The curiosity surrounding Mani Ratnam’s ongoing film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, being jointly produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banner, has been sky-high since the day of its announcement.

Being made as a bilingual and titled Nawab in Telugu, the multistarrer will once again include Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman and Vairamuthu penning the lyrics.

That being said, filming on Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has officially resumed today in Chennai after the TFPC strike with the team announcing 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi joining the team with a new shooting spot photograph.

Meanwhile, reports are now doing the rounds stating Mani Ratnam, who usually prefers showcasing the beauty of India in his films, will most likely shoot important portions featuring Vijay Sethupathi and his co-star Simbu in foreign locations.

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam includes a massive star cast along with Jyothika signing up as one of the female leads after the success of her Naachiyaar.

Arvind Swami’s schedule has gotten busy over the past couple of years and the actor is also part of CCV.

Arun Vijay, who impressed audiences with his performances in Yennai Arindhaal and Kuttram 23, also has a big role in the film.

Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has emerged to be a powerhouse talent landing roles in notable films, which also includes Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Aditi Rao Hydari left fans stunned with her beauty and performance in last year’s Kaatru Veliyidai and she is once again part of the ongoing Mani Ratnam film.
