An actress adored by pretty much everybody, Jyothika’s performance in director Bala’s action thriller, Naachiyaar, was lauded by fans and critics alike.


Lovingly called as Jo by her fans, the talented star went on to subsequently be cast in ace filmmaker’s Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.


That being said, Jyothika is also going to reprise the role of Bollywood actress Vidya Balan in the remake of the hit, Tumhari Sulu, released last year.


To be directed by Radha Mohan, the Tumhari Sulu remake will mark the second occasion Jo reunites with the filmmaker after their Mozhi in 2007 with Dhananjayan Govind producing the venture this time.


With production planned to kick-off once the ongoing Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) strike comes to an end, the Tumhari Sulu remake was announced during an exclusive interview with Galatta to be coming out as a September release.

Meanwhile, it has now been announced that actor Vidharth has now landed a role in the upcoming film, which some state could be titled Ungal Jo.


Fans will know Vidharth for his consistent performances in films namely Mynaa, Veeram, Kuttrame Thandanai, Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu and last year’s Kurangu Bommai.


Interestingly, this will be the second time Vidharth will be starring in a Jyothika film after he was seen in a cameo in last year’s Magalir Mattum.
