By now we all know that Shahid Kapur is all set to do a remake of a South Indian film. UTV's Tamil film Vettai, starring Arya and R. Madhavan, will now be remade in Hindi, with Shahid essaying Arya's part in the remake. N. Linguswamy, the director of Vettai, will direct the Hindi version as well.

The actor was highly impressed with the screenplay of Vettai and Ali Zafar is likely to play Madhavan's role. There are also reports that Ileana might be play one of the leading ladies. "I cannot communicate in Hindi. And the dialogues were not being translated properly. That was the main problem. Now my producer UTV is hiring a dialogue writer of their choice. That writer will be getting together with the Tamil dialogue writer of Vettai to get the essence of the dialogues," director Linguswamy told IANS.
