A day ago we have reported that Thala Ajith's Vedalam has entered the 50 Cr club within few days of release. The latest is that in just 8 days the film has entered the 100 Cr club. Indeed very few Tamil films have garnered such response at the box office. Despite heavy rains and bad climatic conditions, the film is going strong in theatres.
Vedalam, written and directed by Siva is a complete commercial family entertainer starring Ajith and Shruti Haasan. The film is about the loving relationship between a brother and a sister, played by Ajith and Lakshmi Menon. Produced by A. M. Rathnam and Aishwarya under Shri Sai Raam Creations, Anirudh has composed the foot-tapping songs of the film. The Cinematography is handled by Vetri and editing by Ruben. The Dolby Atmos experience makes the film more engaging.
