Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on Thursday at AIIMS in Delhi at 5.05 PM.


The BJP leader was admitted in AIIMS on 11.06.2018 and was diagnosed with kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection and low urine output. AIIMS reports said that Vajpayee was stable for the past 9 weeks but his condition deteriorated in the last 36 hours and was kept at life support system. AIIMS added that despite efforts from doctors the iconic leader passed away on Thursday.


The Central Government has announced seven-day state mourning throughout India and during the period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast throughout India.
